The invention relates to hydrometallurgical methods for producing lithium products, bromine, magnesium oxide, bromide, hypochlorite and calcium carbonate from natural brines of calcium-magnesium chloride type.
State of the art
A known method of producing a neutral calcium hypochlorite - Ca (ClO) 2 by chlorination of a lime-caustic mixture [1]. First, a NaOH solution (35%) is chlorinated to a residual NaOH content (1.5%), while the concentration of NaClO formed is 23-24%, and NaCl is 18-20%. Then a mixture of milk of lime and sodium hypochlorite is subjected to chlorination:
Ca(OH)2+NaClO+Cl2→Ca(ClO)2+NaCl+H2OCa (OH) 2 + NaClO + Cl 2 → Ca (ClO) 2 + NaCl + H 2 O
As a result of the reaction, up to 80% of calcium hypochlorite is precipitated in the form of trihydrate - Ca (ClO) 2 · 3H 2 O. The resulting wet product is dried in a drier of a flowing layer at t = 85-90 ° C. The content of active chlorine in the dried product is not less than 70% (A. A. Furman, p. 41-44) [2]. The disadvantage of the lime-caustic method is the use of lime milk as a calcium reagent.
[2].A known method of producing calcium bromide from precipitated from brine calcium carbonate by direct contact of the pulp of calcium carbonate in a solution of a reducing agent with a steam-bromine mixture; The mother liquor after precipitation of magnesium and calcium from brine, enriched with sodium chloride, is used to produce chlorine and catholyte, a NaOH solution for the oxidation of bromide ions and the precipitation of magnesium. The disadvantage of this method is the use as a calcium reagent precipitated calcium carbonate (US Pat. 2456239 from 08.01.10), which requires additional operations and the use of a commercial product [2].
[3].A known method of producing granular calcium chloride in the complex processing of natural brine of calcium chloride-magnesium type. The brine in the formation has a temperature of ~ 40 ° C and is supersaturated in the content of CaCl 2 . When rising to the surface, the brine is cooled to ambient temperature and spontaneous crystallization of CaCl 2 · 6H 2 O occurs with an admixture of MgCl 2 up to 4-5% (US Pat. 2284298 from 12.30.04). With cooling and separation of the precipitate, the concentration of CaCl 2 in the brine decreases (Fig. 1). In the complex processing of brine after the separation of CaCl 2 · 6H 2 O crystalline hydrate, it is subsequently enriched in lithium, desorption of elemental bromine and precipitation of magnesium. Calcium chloride enriched brine is partially used to prepare the base of drilling fluids. For further processing into calcium compounds, a brine enriched in CaCl 2 is not used. This method is chosen by us as a prototype [3].
Distinctive features of the proposed method is the receipt of new products - hypochlorite, bromide, calcium carbonate from brines of calcium chloride-magnesium type using calcium reagents obtained from the same brine.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
3.The technical result is achieved by the fact that the brine containing calcium and sodium chlorides obtained after precipitation of magnesium is evaporated to salting out NaCl, the NaCl crystals are separated, and the calcium chloride brine is used to dissolve CaCl 2 · 6H 2 O crystalline hydrate to obtain a concentrated solution of calcium chloride containing 400 -500 kg / m CaCl 2 . An admixture of MgCl 2 does not exceed 3 kg / m 3 .
3.The technical result is achieved by the fact that the precipitate CaCl 2 · 6H 2 O, precipitated from the brine, is subjected to centrifugation to reduce the impurity of MgCl 2 . The resulting crystalline hydrate CaCl 2 · 6H 2 O with an acceptable admixture of MgCl 2 to 0.8% is dissolved in water to obtain a solution of calcium chloride ~ 400-450 kg / m 3 CaCl 2 . An admixture of MgCl 2 is 6.4 kg / m 3 .
The technical result is achieved in that the NaCl formed as a result of the exchange reaction after salting out with a solution or crystalline hydrate of calcium chloride (FIG. 2) is separated to a NaCl content of 5-8 kg / m, dissolved in water to obtain a solution containing ~ 300 kg / m 3 NaCl, and subjected to electrolysis in a membrane-type cell to obtain a 32-35% NaOH solution with an admixture of NaCl 30-50 ppm. The chlorine obtained by electrolysis is ejected into a sodium hydroxide solution to obtain sodium hypochlorite. The solution after separation of the precipitate of calcium hypochlorite and salting out of NaCl is returned to the process to obtain a solution of calcium chloride.
The technical result is achieved in that the calcium chloride solution is used to produce calcium bromide by ion exchange conversion of CaCl 2 to CaBr 2 in accordance with the total equation: CaCl 2 + 2HBr = CaBr 2 + 2HCl. To this end, a 2 M CaCl 2 solution is passed through KU-2-8 hrs cation exchanger in H + form. From saturated cation exchange resin, chlorine is washed with demineralized water, and then calcium is stripped with a solution of hydrobromic acid obtained by passing bromine vapor (bromine desorption from bromine water was used) through a reducing solution. Aqueous solutions of ammonia derivatives (hydrazine or hydroxylamine, or urea, or ammonium carbonate, or ammonia) were used as a reducing agent. Along with the desorption of calcium by hydrobromic acid, cation exchanger regenerates. The CaBr 2 solution is heated to crystallize CaBr 2 · H 2 O or used as a 52% solution. The hydrochloric acid formed when the Cl ¯ ion was washed off the cation exchanger is used in the bromine production process.
Технический результат достигается тем, что раствор хлорида кальция используют для осаждения карбоната кальция содовым раствором, полученным карбонизацией раствора NaOH (католита), углекислым газом, образующимся при сжигании углеводородного топлива (природный газ или мазут).The technical result is achieved by the fact that a calcium chloride solution is used to precipitate calcium carbonate with a soda solution obtained by carbonization of a NaOH solution (catholyte), carbon dioxide formed during the combustion of hydrocarbon fuels (natural gas or fuel oil).
Thus, the distinguishing features of the method are: 1. the use of a calcium chloride solution of calcium chloride 400-450 g / l, obtained from a brine of chloride Ca-Mg type, and crystalline hydrate CaCl 2 · 6H 2 O, precipitated from the brine after raising it to surface; 2. expanding the range of products in the framework of the technology of complex processing of raw materials through the production of calcium products: bromide, hypochlorite, calcium carbonate; 3. the use of a mother liquor enriched with NaCl to obtain sodium hypochlorite used in the exchange reaction with a solution of calcium chloride.

The implementation of the method for producing hypochlorite, bromide and calcium carbonate from natural brine of chloride Ca-Mg type is confirmed by the following examples.
Example 1. The natural brine was cooled to + 5 ° C, the precipitated precipitate CaCl 2 · 6H 2 O was separated, draining the main amount of brine. The crystalline hydrate precipitate was centrifuged. The result was a brine composition (g / l): LiCl - 2.3; Br - 9.0; CaCl 2 -320; MgCl 2 - 115 and a precipitate of CaCl 2 · 6H 2 O with an impurity content of MgCl 2 : - 0.8% (Fig. 1). The brine was subjected to lithium enrichment to obtain lithium concentrate, after which the bromide ion was oxidized (anodic chlorine was used) and bromine was stripped.
In 1 l of brine after enrichment with lithium, desorption of Br 2 and pH adjustment, 235 ml of a solution of 32% NaOH were added to precipitate magnesium by the reaction: MgCl 2 + 2NaOH = Mg (OH) 2 + 2NaCl. The precipitate was sedimented and filtered on a press filter. The brine after separation of Mg (OH) 2 , taking into account dilution with a precipitant, had the following composition (g / l): CaCl 2 - 270; NaCl - 115; MgCl 2 - 0.3.
CaCl2 - 350; NaCl - 5.0; MgCl2 - 0.5.Example 3. The brine after precipitation of Mg (OH) 2 was evaporated to salting out NaCl, NaCl crystals were separated and used to prepare a solution of sodium chloride. The brine after separation of the crystals of NaCl has the composition, g / l: CaCl 2 - 350; NaCl - 5.0; MgCl 2 - 0.5.
Example 4. The precipitate of crystalline hydrate CaCl 2 · 6H 2 O with an admixture of MgCl 2 · 6H 2 O (500 g) was dissolved in 1.5 liters of brine (example 3). The resulting solution had the following composition: (g / l): CaCl 2 - 443; MgCl 2 - 3.0. The volume of the solution is 1.75 l.
Example 5. 1000 g of crystalline hydrate of calcium chloride (example 1) was dissolved in water (v = 650 ml). The resulting solution had the following composition (g / l): CaCl 2 - 434; MgCl 2 - 6.5. The volume of the solution is 1.15 liters.
2NaOH+Cl2=NaClO+NaClO+H2OExample 6. A sodium chloride solution of ~ 300 g / l NaCl was obtained by dissolving NaCl crystals resulting from evaporation of the mother liquor after precipitation of magnesium (Example 3) and after salting out of the mother liquor NaCl resulting from the exchange reaction (Example 7). The resulting solution of sodium chloride was subjected to electrolysis in a membrane electrolyzer, while a solution of catholyte NaOH - 32% and chlorine were obtained. A NaOH solution was used to produce sodium hypochlorite by ejecting chlorine into a sodium hydroxide solution. The chlorination temperature did not exceed 25-27 ° C. The process was carried out to a residual alkalinity of 1.4-2.4% NaOH. Chlorination using 32-35% alkali is optimal because an increase in the concentration of NaOH leads to an increase in the proportion of NaCl in the reaction mixture, which is a by-product: 2NaOH + Cl 2 = NaClO + NaClO + H 2 O
Состав реакционной смеси после хлорирования соответствует (%): NaClO - 32.6; NaCl - 23.8; NaOH - 2.4; H2O - 41.2.The composition of the reaction mixture after chlorination corresponds to (%): NaClO - 32.6; NaCl - 23.8; NaOH - 2.4; H 2 O - 41.2.
80%.Example 7. To obtain calcium hypochlorite resulting from the exchange reaction, we used a solution of calcium chloride with a CaCl 2 content of 443 g / l (example 4) and a sodium hypochlorite solution (example 6): CaCl 2 + 2NaClO + 3H 2 O = Ca (ClO) 2 · 3H 2 O + 2NaCl. A solution of calcium chloride (0.5 L) was heated to 40 ° C and introduced into a solution of sodium hypochlorite. According to the stoichiometry of the exchange reaction, for the formation of calcium hypochlorite per 255 g of CaCl 2 contained in 0.575 l of the solution, 266 g of NaClO is required (per 100%). Considering that its content in the sodium hypochlorite solution is ~ 326 g, 0.9 l of the solution is required for the exchange reaction (taking into account the excess). After draining, the reaction mixture was kept for 3 hours at t = 20 ± 5 ° C. The degree of precipitation of calcium hypochlorite was 80%.
69%.The suspension was filtered on a vacuum filter and dried at t = 60-80 ° C to a water content of not more than 4%. The content of active chlorine in the selected product is 69%.
After separation of the precipitate of calcium hypochlorite, the mother liquor containing ~ 120 g / L NaCl was used to saline NaCl with calcium chloride crystalline hydrate (see Example 1). 0.75 kg of CaCl 2 · 6H 2 O was added to 1 l of the mother liquor. NaCl crystals were isolated immediately after its introduction, the amount of NaCl decreased to ~ 8 g / l (Fig. 2). NaCl crystals were separated, dissolved in water. The resulting NaCl solution 310-320 g / l was used for electrolysis (see example 6). The technological solution enriched in calcium chloride to ~ 350 g / l and containing impurities of NaCl, NaClO and NaOH was used to produce calcium hypochlorite (Fig. 3).
CaBr2:Example 9. To obtain calcium bromide, a CaCl 2 solution (Example 4, 5) was diluted 2 times (until a 2 M CaCl 2 solution was obtained) and passed through KU-2-8 cation exchanger in H + form. For the desorption of calcium, 2 M hydrobromic acid obtained by trapping bromine vapor with an aqueous solution of hydrazine (reducing agent) was used. Vapor of bromine was obtained by blowing off elemental bromine from bromine water obtained upon receipt of bromine (figure 3). As a result of ion exchange reactions, ~ 52% CaBr 2 solution was obtained:
; ;
CaBr2·H2O.At the same time, cation exchanger regeneration was carried out. The solution was evaporated to form CaBr 2 · H 2 O crystals.
Example 10. In a solution of calcium chloride (example 3) was introduced a soda solution obtained by carbonization of catholyte (260 g / l Na 2 CO 3 ). Precipitated calcium carbonate was washed, dried. The resulting CaCO 3 contained up to 99% of the basic substance.
