Abstract
Description
(Psoroptes cuniculi, Otodectes cynotis). The invention relates to the field of veterinary medicine and can be used to treat rabbits for psoroptosis and carnivores for otodectosis caused by an ear tick (Psoroptes cuniculi, Otodectes cynotis).
[1, 2].Currently, biological synthesis preparations based on macrocyclic lactones, which are represented by two classes of antibiotics - macrolides - avermectins and milbemycins - are successfully being introduced into the production of animal ectoparasites. Ivermectin as an active substance is part of the drugs that are used against the ear scabies of rabbits and carnivores - ivomek, baymek, newmek, iversect, etc. However, these drugs are administered to animals subcutaneously or intramuscularly. The disadvantage of such methods is a rather strong pain and inflammatory reaction in animals, which creates an additional stress factor; the cost of processing increases, there is suppression of the immune system of animals for 2-3 weeks [1, 2].
It is known "Means for the prevention and treatment of parasitic animal diseases" (RF patent 2140737, 1998), which is a solution of ivermectin in a mixture of polyethylene glycol-400, 80% ethyl alcohol and benzyl alcohol in the following ratio of components: ivermectin 0.8-1.2 g / 100 ml, polyethylene glycol 45-60 vol.%, 80% ethanol 35-45 vol.%, benzyl alcohol 2-10 vol.%. The use of iversect provides 100% acaricidal, insecticidal and nematodicidal efficacy in parasitoses of pigs, sheep and cattle.
It is known “Antipendoparasitic and antiektoparasitic agent” (RF patent 2222193, 2004), containing at least one first active substance in combination with at least one second active substance and, if necessary, target additives. The first active substance is selected from the group consisting of avermectin, 22,23-dihydroavermectin B 1 (ivermectin) and milbemycin from the class of macrocyclic lactones. The second active substance is from the group of insect nicotinergic acetylcholine receptor agonist and antagonist.
При этом они длительно выделяются из организма (более 21 дня).The above pharmacological agents slowly penetrate deeply lying tissues, have low anti-inflammatory activity, creating conditions for long-term regeneration of the skin. Moreover, they are excreted from the body for a long time (more than 21 days).
Known antiparasitic ointment "Avermectin" (patent of the Russian Federation, 2124895, 1999), which as an avermectin complex contains ivermectin or abamectin, or rustomectin, or aversectin, and as an ointment base - glycerin, polyethylene glycol - 400 and polyethylene glycol - 1500, and additionally as a stimulator of regeneration - methyluracil, and as an antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory agent - dimethyl sulfoxide. The avermectin complex in this case is 0.05-0.2 wt.%. However, methyluracil and dimethyl sulfoxide have undesirable side effects, namely methyluracil can cause hyperemia, itching; dimethyl sulfoxide - itchy dermatitis, skin rashes, dry skin, at the same time, dimethyl sulfoxide has a teratogenic effect and is excreted in breast milk.
The purpose of the invention is to increase the effectiveness of treatment through the use of a drug that includes a smaller amount of ivermectin compared to the known ones, in combination with a pharmacological agent with high penetrating and anti-inflammatory activity and contributing to the rapid regeneration of the skin.
This goal is achieved by the fact that as the active substance ivermectin is used in an amount of 0.01%, which is two orders of magnitude less than in known preparations. This allows you to reduce toxicity, reduce the time of removal of residual active principle from the body of the treated animals. Propolis is used as a prolonging substance, stimulant, regeneration accelerator, antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory agent, triethylene glycol is a solvent, at their concentration in wt.% In the total composition of the agent:
Streptomyces avermitilis.Ivermectin - a macrocyclic disaccharide of antiparasitic action, is a dihydro derivative of avermectins B1a and B1b produced by Streptomyces avermitilis fungi.
Propolis is a product of the vital activity of bees, a dense or sticky, viscous mass of greenish-brown or dark brown color. The introduction of propolis in the composition of the invention contributes to a higher penetrating ability of ivermectin into biological tissue. In addition, propolis contributes to the manifestation of the analgesic, antibacterial and reparative effect of the dosage form.
Triethylene glycol - necessary for the dissolution of avermectin in the drug, harmless to the body, which also has a disinfecting effect.
The drug is obtained by dissolving 0.01 wt.% Ivermectin in triethylene glycol and adding 5-6 wt.% Propolis.
This form of the drug is used by aerosol propellant or non-propellant spray type or direct topical application to the animal’s auricle twice with an interval of 7 days at a dose of 2 ml on the auricle to ensure acaricidal effect in rabbit psoroptosis or 3 ml on the auricle during carnivore otodectosis.
