Abstract
Description
The invention relates to ammunition for small arms, in particular, to multi-bullet cartridges.
30.12.1955 г.).A major area in the development of ammunition for small arms was the development of multi-bullet cartridges. The principle of multiplicity was actively developed after the Second World War and especially widely in West Germany. The analysis showed that a volley shot with several bullets is much more effective at hitting a target than a line from the same several bullets. In 1953, Heinrich Brombacher patented the design of two-bullet (duplex) and three-bullet (triplex) rifle cartridges. Bullets in the cartridge are arranged sequentially "in the back of the head" to each other. Moreover, in the two-bullet cartridge, both bullets were able to be assembled in the dimensions of a standard sleeve, and in the three-bullet cartridge a special elongated sleeve was used (Patent FR No. 1107424, published on 12.30.1955).
The famous 7.62 mm two-bullet cartridge NATO M198, adopted by the American army in 1964. It was developed as part of the ACR (Future Combat Rifle) program. The cartridge is designed to increase firing efficiency at relatively small distances (up to 200 m) and does not replace other cartridges of 7.62 mm caliber, but complements them. Improving the effectiveness of shooting is achieved by increasing the number of bullets and their certain dispersion, expanding the affected area. The front bullet has a recess in the tail section, which includes the head of the rear bullet. Due to the partial violation of the obturation of the powder gases and their entry into the inter-bullet space, the front bullet gets a higher initial velocity (850 m / s) than the rear (790 m / s), which leads to a mismatch of the centers of dispersion of bullets. In addition, the cutting plane of the rear bullet is inclined at an angle of 4.5 degrees to the transverse plane, as a result of which the rear bullets have a greater dispersion compared to the front ones (G.A. Danilin, V.P. Ogorodnikov, A.B.Zavolokin. Basics designing cartridges for small arms. Baltic State Technical University St. Petersburg, pp. 67-68 - prototype).
(индекс 9-А-4427).In the USSR, for firing from a 12.7 mm YakB-12.7 machine gun to destroy manpower, lightly armored ground targets, as well as to adjust fire and target designation at ranges up to 1000 m, two-bullet cartridges were adopted: 12.7 1СЛ gl . (index 9-A-4012) and 12.7 1 SLT ch. (index 9-A-4427).
The disadvantage of the above analogue and prototype is the lack of stable characteristics for the initial velocity of the bullet for each group of bullets, which is especially acute when developing multi-bullet cartridges with a subsonic initial velocity of bullets. These circumstances have a significant impact on the dispersion characteristics of bullets during firing.
The objective of the invention is to provide stable characteristics at the initial speed for each group of bullets of a multi-bullet cartridge with a subsonic initial velocity of bullets and improve the characteristics of the dispersion of bullets during firing.
The solution to this problem is achieved by the fact that in a multi-bullet cartridge for small arms containing a cartridge case with an igniter capsule, a propellant powder charge and at least two bullets located in the cartridge case one after another, with the head of the second bullet and each subsequent in the recess made at the end of the previous bullet:
- сопрягаемые поверхности выемки и головной части пули выполнены конусными с большим углом конусности в выемке;- the mating surfaces of the recess and the bullet head are conical with a large taper angle in the recess;
- во всех пулях, кроме первой, выполнен сквозной продольный канал с последовательным увеличением его поперечного сечения;- in all bullets, except the first, a through longitudinal channel is made with a sequential increase in its cross section;
- диаметр продольного канала во второй пуле выбран равным 0,08-0,12 калибра пули, а для каждой последующей пули он выбран согласно следующей зависимости где n - порядковый номер пули.- the diameter of the longitudinal channel in the second pool is chosen equal to 0.08-0.12 bullet caliber, and for each subsequent bullet it is selected according to the following dependence where n is the bullet sequence number.
The foregoing is illustrated by drawings, where:
- на фиг.1 показано продольное сечение трехпульного патрона;- figure 1 shows a longitudinal section of a three-bullet cartridge;
- на фиг.2 показан укрупненный фрагмент головной части пули, размещенной в выемке предыдущей пули.- figure 2 shows an enlarged fragment of the head of the bullet placed in the recess of the previous bullet.
Диаметр продольного канала во второй пуле выбран равным 0,08-0,12 калибра пули, а в третьей пуле он составляет .The design of the multi-bullet cartridge proposed by the authors will be considered using the example of a three-bullet cartridge. It contains a sleeve with a primer 1, propellant powder charge 2 and bullets 3, 4 and 5. Bullets are located in the sleeve one after another. A recess is made in the end part of each bullet 6. The head part 7 of the second bullet 4 is located in a recess 6 made in the end part of the first bullet, the head part 7 of the third bullet 5 is placed in a recess 6 made in the end part of the second bullet, etc. The mating surfaces of the head of the
When fired after pricking with a brisk igniter caps, the force flame ignites the powder charge. When the pressure in the sleeve reaches the force, the bullets alternately begin to move along the bore. The presence of a longitudinal through channel in the second and subsequent bullets contributes to the separation of bullets in the bore from each other and the presence of a gas buffer between them. Bullets alternately leave the bore at different initial speeds. In the process of developing a cartridge with a subsonic initial speed, the optimal dimensions of the longitudinal channel in the bullets were revealed, which allow to stabilize the initial speed of each group of bullets of a multi-bullet cartridge and, as a result, improve the dispersion characteristics of bullets during firing.
The proposed technical solutions were tested during the development of a 12.7 mm three-bullet cartridge with a subsonic initial bullet velocity with positive results.
