Abstract
Description
The invention relates to fruit growing, decorative and indoor gardening.
A known method of growing seedlings (RF Patent for the invention No. 2056092, IPC 6 A 01 G 1/00), in which numerous grafts are cultivated by budding on lignified rootstock shoots in one longitudinal plane with subsequent storage and rooting of grafts with grafts.
The disadvantages of this known solution are the need for a room for storing grafted plants, limiting the budding season, obtaining seedlings with one type of root system.
There is also known a method of growing seedlings (RF application for invention No. 2011120132, IPC 7 A 01 G 17/00), including grafting plants in winter on lignified cuttings, their further stratification and rooting.
The disadvantages of this method are the limitation of vaccination of the season, the need to provide areas for nursery fields.
С.79-80).The closest to the implementation of the proposed method is a method of accelerated reproduction of scarce stocks by budding inverted shields on seed stocks. The oculant growing down is pinned to the soil and separated after rooting (Yakushev V.I., Shevchenko V.V. Fruit growing with the basics of ornamental gardening. - M .: Kolos, 1980. P.79-80).
However, this method is intended to obtain scarce clonal stocks and requires significant time (from 1.5 to 2 years) costs. In addition, plant budding by this method is limited to the season, it requires periodic hilling of the cuttings as they root, removal of the seed stock after separation of rooted cuttings from it due to the difficulty of carrying out agro-technical measures related to thickened plantings, which naturally complicates and increases the cost of growing planting material.
The problem solved by the invention is to obtain vegetatively propagated seedlings by double budding, differing in the morphophysiological types of the root system, which determines the habit, productivity and decorativeness of plants.
The problem is solved in that in the method of growing seedlings, including grafting with double budding of the seedling with subsequent rooting, according to the proposed solution, budding is carried out while preserving the polarity of the oculant, to obtain seedlings with a horizontal root system, rooting is carried out with the cutting from the seedling together with the ocular bud and shoots of the uterine plant, and from the remaining part of the occluded seedling receive seedlings with a vertical root system.
Growing seedlings is carried out year-round in a protected ground at 70% humidity and a temperature of 17-18 ° C for 25-30 days.
The proposed method includes double budding in the region of the root neck and at a distance of 5-6 internodes from the previous vaccination, followed by separation of the upper part of the grafted plant with the shield of the varietal plant for rooting. This method provides for the production of cultivated seedlings with different characteristics. As a result of using this method of vegetative propagation, the seedlings obtained will initially differ in the type of root system, since one half of them is formed on a seed stock, and the second on rooted cuttings, the so-called root stock. It is known (V.A. Kolesnikov. The root system of fruit and berry plants. - M .: Kolos Publishing House, 1974) that rootstocks are characterized by numerous short horizontal roots, while seed stocks have long vertical roots, but in smaller numbers . Therefore, seedlings grown on a root rootstock have a pronounced tendency to surface distribution of roots in the upper soil layers, while plants grafted onto seedlings place the root system in deeper soil layers.
The proposed method was implemented on a stock that reached a diameter in the region of the root neck of 5 mm. The first vaccination was carried out in the region of the root neck and at a distance of 5-6 internodes from the previous vaccination. All vaccinations were performed by budding without changing polarity. Inoculation of vaccinations occurred within 25 days under conditions of 70% humidity and a temperature of 17-18 ° C. After this period, the upper part of the grafted shoot was separated and rooted for 30 days (substrate sand / soil). Kidney survival was 100%. After 2 months from the moment of budding growth, an shoot with a height of 20-28 cm developed.
From the table it follows that when using the prototype method, only root stock is obtained. Traditional methods for seedling seedlings allow you to get seedlings with only one type of root system. Moreover, the consumption of stock material is 2 times more than in the proposed method.
As a result of the proposed method for producing seedlings by double budding, you can grow plants with the desired properties and with a minimum consumption of stock material, increasing the production of the necessary material in a short time, not limited to the season.
The proposed method is especially effective in the production process of seedlings by budding, using plants with repeated periods of growth activity and high regenerative ability of leafy cuttings, in order to obtain plants that differ in types of root systems and, therefore, with different physiological characteristics of the aerial part.
The proposed method was developed and tested on citrus fruits, in particular lemon.
The material obtained on its basis can serve as the basis for creating an array with new improved productivity parameters.
