Abstract
Description
The method relates to agricultural production, namely the use of honey on a commercial basis.
[1].Such melliferous weeds as sow thistle, oriental overwig, cuttlefish, scepter mullein, common donkey, etc. are known [1].
[2, 3].The main disadvantage of using these and other weeds is that they almost never use them as melliferous plants, since they grow along roadsides, ravines, in some sections of village streets and other inconveniences. Weeds propagate spontaneously or by sowing with cultivated plants, such as millet, rye, wheat, etc., as harmful constituents. To increase the yield of cultivated plants, weeds, including honey plants, are destroyed [2, 3].
The task and the technical result of using the method are to eliminate the main disadvantage in the use of honey weeds, i.e. in a significant increase in honey collection from them (increased collection of marketable honey), and they themselves - in the use of animals, for example cattle, as feed.
The problem is solved by the fact that weeds are cultivated on an industrial basis on large areas in the field, during the flowering period they organize honey harvesting by placing bee apiaries near the crops, and after the honey harvest their green mass (stems, leaves and inflorescences) are mowed and crushed to silage.
Most melliferous weeds have a large number of inflorescences, therefore, the amount of honey collected by bee families increases significantly. In addition, all melliferous weeds, such as sow thistle, scepter mullein, etc., have a large green mass, because grow up to 2-2.5 m high with branched foliage and inflorescences, so it is beneficial to silage them to animal feed.
The proposed method is as follows.
Suitable fields of land are selected on the fields, they are plowed, sown with the seeds of melliferous weeds in compliance with all necessary agrotechnical requirements. After the emergence of seedlings for crops establish observation. If necessary, crops protect against diseases and pests. When flowers appear, bee apiaries are transferred to the crops and honey is organized. After honey harvesting, the green mass of melliferous weeds are cut, chopped and laid on a silo.
When implementing the proposed method of using honey weeds, it increases by 4-5 times compared with, for example, buckwheat, the amount of honey collected per 1 ha of crops. The quality of the honey collected is increased, as the honey collection is carried out continuously and stably for a considerable period of time, since the roots of the weeds penetrate deep into the soil and stably supply the plants with moisture and necessary nutrients. Due to this, the green mass of plants also develops well and its weight greatly increases. It should also be noted that because of this, the yield of green mass of weeds is less dependent on adverse weather conditions. The amount of green mass of weeds is comparable to the value of corn mass grown under favorable conditions for silage per 1 ha of sown area.
Thus, the proposed method of using honey weeds is beneficial from all points of view.
