Abstract
Description
The invention is aimed at improving the technology of hardening of pipes of oil gauge directly in the pipe rolling line.
A known method of processing wire rod, comprising cooling water with rolling heat upon its exit from the last mill stand. When this cooling is carried out from 1050-1070 o C to 650-500 o C with a speed of at least 1000 o C / s [Aut. St. USSR N 286725, class C 21 D 9/52, publ. March 23, 81]. However, in relation to pipes of the oil assortment, these process parameters do not provide the required level of strength and plastic properties.
The closest analogue to the claimed invention by its technical nature and the achieved result is a method of heat treatment of products from low-carbon manganese steels, which consists in the fact that products from rolling heating are cooled at the exit from the last mill stand with a temperature of 830-850 o C by exposure to their external surface with water for 0.15-0.30 seconds with an intensity of 6.0-7.0 l / s per millimeter of wall thickness [RF patent N 2007470, class. C 21 D 1/02, publ. February 15, 94]. The method is used in the manufacture of tubes of oil assortment to ensure the required mechanical properties.
The disadvantage of this method is that, as practice has shown, it is unsuitable for the manufacture of pipes with a wall thickness of more than 6 mm. The short duration of cooling leads to the fact that in this case the inner layers of the pipe retain a temperature of 780-800 o C, therefore, after cooling is completed, a thin hardened surface layer is heated to these temperatures and softening occurs to the initial hot-rolled state.
The objective of the present invention is to develop a method for the manufacture of pipes of oil gauge with a wall thickness of 5-16 mm from carbon and low alloy steels, which provides an increase in their strength and plastic properties by improving the parameters of cooling and heating of pipes at the end of preliminary hot deformation.
The problem is solved in that in a method of manufacturing pipes, including pre-hot deformation, water cooling, heating and final deformation, according to the invention after preliminary hot deformation of the pipe is subjected to stepwise cooling at a speed of 60-85 degrees. / s to a temperature of 690-720 o C and at a speed of 3-10 degrees / s to a temperature of 580-680 o C, heating under the final deformation is carried out to a temperature Ac 3 ± 30 o C, and the final cooling is carried out in air.
Intensive cooling after preliminary hot deformation at a speed of 60-85 deg./s to a temperature of 690-720 o C pipes of a pre-sized directly at the exit from the mill allows you to maintain the austenitic state to the temperature of pearlite decomposition. During the second stage of cooling at a speed of 3-10 deg./s to a temperature of 580-680 o C, austenite decomposes with the formation of dispersed perlite and a small amount (less than 10%) of doeutectoid ferrite. Subsequent heating to Ac 3 ± 30 ° C produces 70-80% of austenite and spheroidization of cementite occurs in non-recrystallized volumes. During repeated final deformation, a uniform subgrain structure is formed in austenite and in non-recrystallized ferrite. After cooling in air, thin perlite forms in the austenitic regions and, in the final structure, sections of hypereutectoid ferrite with a subgrain size of 1–4 μm alternate with regions of thin perlite. This structure provides, along with an increase in strength characteristics, an increase in the ductility and toughness of the pipe metal.
When the heating temperature rises above Ac 3 +30 o C, complete recrystallization occurs, after the final deformation, a ferrite-pearlite structure with 30-40% ferrite is formed and hardening is not observed.
Lowering the heating temperature below Ac 3 -30 o C leads to an increase, with subsequent deformation, the load on the rolling equipment is higher than permissible.
The proposed method of manufacturing pipes is as follows:
Billet pipes after preliminary deformation at the exit of the rolling mill have a temperature of 930-950 o C. From this temperature, the pipes are cooled in two stages: at a speed of 60-85 degrees / s to a temperature of 690-720 o C and at a speed of 3-10 deg./s to a temperature of 580-680 o C. After this, the pipes are heated to a temperature of Ac 3 ± 30 o C and subjected to final deformation in a reduction mill with subsequent cooling in air.
The proposed and known methods were tested in an industrial environment by Sinarsky Pipe Plant OJSC in the manufacture of pipes of the strength group "K" according to GOST 633-80 with a diameter of 89 mm and a wall thickness of 6.5 mm from steel containing 0.36% carbon, 1, 47% manganese and 0.51% silicon.
25%.According to the proposed method, after preliminary hot rolling in the rolling mill, the billet pipes were cooled with water in a sprayer at a speed of 75 degrees. / s to a temperature of 700 o C, and then at a speed of 5 degrees per second to a temperature of 670 o C. From this temperature, the pipes were heated in an induction unit to a temperature of 850 o C and deformed in a reduction mill with a reduction ratio of 25%.
The test results are shown in the table.
As can be seen from the table, the processing according to the proposed method in comparison with the prototype allows to increase the strength and plastic properties and obtain the level of properties of the strength group "K" required by GOST 633-80.
