Abstract
Description
The invention relates to foundry, and in particular to compositions of mixtures for the manufacture of foundry molds and cores, heat-cured.
A known mixture for the manufacture of foundry molds and cores, heat-cured, containing a refractory filler - quartz sand, alumino-phosphate binder and starch [1]. Starch is a product based on corn starch, obtained by heat treatment of starch-protein suspension in a roller dryer.
The purpose of the invention is to improve the quality of molds and cores by increasing their strength in the dry state, increasing gas permeability.
To achieve this goal, a mixture for the manufacture of casting molds and cores, heat-cured, including a refractory filler, alumochromophosphate binder and starchite, additionally contains expanded clay dust, clay and water in the following ratio of ingredients, wt.%: Molding clay 3.0-3, 5 Starch 0.2-0.5 Water 0.8-1.0 AHFS 3.0-4.0 Expanded clay dust 0.5-1.0 Refractory filler Else
The proposed mixture is prepared by dry mixing refractory filler, molding clay and expanded clay dust for 2-3 minutes. At the same time, a suspension of water and starch is prepared. Next, the suspension is introduced into the dry mixture and stirred for 5-6 minutes, after which AXPS is introduced and mixed for another 3-4 minutes. The total mixing time is not more than 13 minutes Samples were dried at 180-200 ° C for 10-20 min.
2]: SiO2 48-80 Al2O3 7-27 Fe2O3+FeO 0,5-13,5 CaO 0,5-20,0 MgO 0,3-12,0 K2O+Na2O 0,5-7,5

Expanded clay dust in the range of 0.5-1.0 provides intensive bulk hardening, accelerates drying, and prevents the adherence of the mixture to the tooling. With a lower content of expanded clay dust, the values of intensification of hardening, adhesion and strength in the dried state are not achieved, and with a higher content, crumbling increases.
Molding clay in an amount of 3.0-3.5 wt.% Provides crude strength of the mixture. When the clay content is below 3%, the required compressive strength in the wet state is not provided, and when the content is more than 3.5 wt.%, The trituration of the mixture increases.
Water in an amount of 0.8-1.0 wt.% Is necessary to increase the adhesion of clay to the refractory filler. When the water content is less than 0.8 wt.%, The flaking of the mixture increases, and when the content is more than 1 wt.%, The wet strength decreases.
Table 1 shows the compositions of the proposed and known mixtures.
2. The properties of the mixtures are given in table.2.
From the data of table 2 it follows that the proposed mixture provides an increase in strength in the dried state, wet strength, gas permeability, reduction of crumbling.
Using the present invention will improve working conditions, increase the strength of rods and molds, gas permeability, reduce flaking, and also expand the arsenal of funds for this purpose.
