Abstract

FIELD: shipbuilding. SUBSTANCE: shipboard rigging possesses enhanced aerodynamic characteristics of sails and is provided with simplified control of the sails. Mast consists of central rod and swivel pipe with three yards fitted on it (one upper yard and two lower yards). Drums or pulleys for setting the sails and taking them in as well as for providing required curvature are fitted on yards by drive in lower yard.
