Claims (12)

1. Способ связывания минеральных волокон в материале, состоящем из минеральных волокон, отличающийся тем, что на материал, состоящий из минеральных волокон, наносят кислоту в количестве, достаточном для растворения минерального вещества из волокон с образованием связующего, содержащего диоксид кремния, на минеральных волокнах, и отвержадют материал, состоящий из минеральных волокон, для связывания волокон.
2. Способ по п. 1, отличающийся тем, что связующее представляет собой водный раствор кислоты.
3. Способ по п. 1 или 2, отличающийся тем, что кислота представляет собой монокарбоновую кислоту, предпочтительно, моноалкановую кислоту.
4. Способ по п. 3, отличающийся тем, что кислоту выбирают из группы, состоящий из муравьиной, уксусной и пропионовой кислоты.
5. Способ по п. 1, отличающийся тем, что кислота представляет собой муравьиную кислоту.
6. Способ по п. 1 или 2, отличающийся тем, что на минеральную вату наносят 1-5 мас. % кислоты, в расчете на сухое вещество ваты.
7. Способ по п. 2, отличающийся тем, что рН водного раствора кислоты равен или меньше 5, предпочтительно равен или меньше 3.
8. Способ по п. 1 или 2, отличающийся тем, что связанный продукт минеральной ваты отверждают при температуре, достаточно высокой для испарения любых летучих веществ.
9. Способ по п. 1 или 2, отличающийся тем, что водный раствор кислоты содержит эмульгированный в нем агент, придающий гидрофобность, предпочтительно, силиконовое масло.
10. Способ по п. 1 или 2, отличающийся тем, что водный раствор кислоты наносят на минеральную вату разбрызгиванием, окунанием или конденсацией этого раствора на материале.
11. Способ по п. 1 или 2, отличающийся тем, что степень растворения минерального вещества из волокон отслеживают путем измерения рН ваты после нанесения кислоты.
12. Способ по п. 1 или 2, отличающийся тем, что включает дополнительную стадию прерывания растворения минерального волокна путем нагрева продукта из минерального волокна для выпаривания кислоты или путем нейтрализации минерального вещества, или путем добавления ингибитора отверждения, предпочтительно, спирта, такого как полиэтиленгликоль.
