Description
A utility model relates to products made on the basis of a binder, for example, decorative, including garden and street, or utilitarian products from concrete, gypsum, etc., the external surfaces of which are subject to external influences.
It is now known to harden concrete products by adding mineral wool fibers to the solution from which the product is formed. However, the surface layer of such products has a low strength both to impact and abrasion, because the fibers are evenly distributed throughout the entire volume with stirring, or settle to the bottom of the mold, and accordingly, no significant hardening of the surface layer is created, which does not ensure vandal resistance and durability of such products. In addition, the surface layer of such products is characterized by porosity, which, when applying a decorative coating, causes a large consumption of expensive decorative material and a short time interval for operation before its restoration.
The claimed utility model is aimed at creating products in which the surface layer will be much harder and denser than the rest of the volume of the product, which will simultaneously achieve such technical results as increased product strength, its wear and shock resistance, vandal resistance, increased crack resistance of the surface layer, as well as to reduce the consumption of material when applying a decorative coating and increase the operating time of the product, both with a decorative coating and without it, without significantly increasing the cost of products.
The claimed technical results are achieved by the product, the main layer of which is made on the basis of a binder, and in the surface layer of at least one surface of the product, there are mineral wool fibers directed mainly perpendicular to this surface, penetrating into it by less than 1 mm mainly in a larger area parts of this surface. The length of the fibers emerging from the surface does not exceed 5 mm.
To make products as follows.
Mineral wool boards with the usual (longitudinal) direction of the fibers are cut in such a way that the fibers are obtained directed mainly perpendicularly. The resulting plates are laid in the form so that the fibers are directed mainly perpendicular to the hardened layer. Then the main layer is poured, based on a binder, for example, cement, gypsum, silicate, lime, etc., from which the product is formed directly, and either under the own weight of the main layer or under the influence of a load, for example, under a press, mineral wool fibers are pressed into the base layer. Due to the fact that the fibers are directed perpendicular to the surface to be hardened, and there is a space between the fibers in the plate, they easily penetrate into the uncured solution by at least 1 mm, which cannot be achieved with a longitudinal arrangement of fibers, since in this case, the fibers do not penetrate into the layer, but only act as a surface winding, without a strong bond between the fibers over the entire thickness of the mineral wool plate. Thus, a reinforced surface layer is formed with high strength and density of the product itself, in a larger part of which there are stone or wall fibers, without any additional operations to strengthen it subsequently, which allows to achieve the claimed technical results.
In the case when a significant fiber length was greater than the penetration depth, it is possible to trim this excess layer. However, if the thickness of the mineral wool layer emerging from the surface is small, not more than 5 mm (with a longer length it is almost impossible to apply a decorative layer that would penetrate the entire length of the emerging fibers, which may form a weak intermediate layer of fibers), then the fibers can do not trim because they will doubt during operation, or will contribute to more reliable fixing of the decorative layer, without the use of additional devices, with a large thickness of the decorative layer, such as reinforcing mesh, if applied to the hardened surface.
The above example is not the only possible option for the manufacture of the claimed products.
So, for example, in the manufacture of cylindrical products, such as urns and flower beds, you can use a mineral wool shield as a formwork, and after pouring the main layer, compress the formwork with such a load that will allow the fibers to penetrate into the surface layer, or create the necessary pressure by expanding the inflatable forming element for the inner surface. In the manufacture of products of complex shape, crimping can be carried out manually or lay out the surface of the mold with mineral wool plates, and then either under its own weight or due to the liquid consistency of the solution, or by applying an additional load, if the design of the mold allows, to ensure the penetration of fibers into the surface layer.
Optimal is the use of mineral wool carpet or slabs, the length of the fibers in which is from 1 mm, because after their penetration into the main layer, a strong and dense surface layer with a thickness of 1 mm or more is formed. The length of the fibers is selected from the strength characteristics presented to the surface layer, the area and geometric features of the hardened surface, respectively, the larger the area and the surface is smoother, the longer the fibers should be. However, a fiber length of 1 mm is already sufficient to create a durable and wear-resistant surface.
In order to increase crack resistance in all directions, the reinforcing mesh must be pressed in before the indentation or by indentation of the mineral wool layer.
An additional effect will also be a smooth shiny surface without any additional additives, if the surface layer is sanded, i.e. using this method, it is possible to easily obtain decorative surfaces without spending additional funds on decorative materials.
д.The claimed product can be any product whose surface must be made durable and wear-resistant, for example, monuments, decorative products, borders, paving slabs, lampposts, urns, flowerbeds, garden decorative figures, decorative stone, side stands of benches, etc.
The claimed utility model is easy to manufacture using well-known equipment using well-known materials both in the factory and on their own.
