Abstract
The invention relates to a method for determining the content of feed additives in an animal feed by means of a color reaction, whereby 3-5 g of fodder with 8-12 ml of an alcoholic solvent are mixed, adding 40-60mg of 5-sulfosalicylic acid, sulfamic acid, hydroxyaminosulfonic acid or p-toluenesulfonic acid and 40-60mg vanillin, the acid and vanillin being in the form of tablets conditioned with 0.5mg of lubricant in 1, 5 ... 2.5 ml of surfactant solution at 50 ... 70 ° C, the color obtained being compared to a color register obtained using standard amounts of reagents and known amounts of additives food.
