Inventia se refera la un procedeu pentru detectarea defectelor de suprafata la piesele metalice, conform caruia, pe suprafata piesei, degresate în prealabil, se aplica o solutie penetranta constituita din 28....33% în greutate polietilenglicol, 2,6....3,5% în greutate nonilfenol, 34....43% în greutate 1,1,1-tricloretan stabilizat, 28.......30% în greutate clorura de metilen si 0,4.......0,5% în greutate colorant, dupa care suprafata se spala cu un jet de apa, se sterge si apoi se aplica un strat uniform de developant format din 0,2....0,3% în greutate copolimer acetat de vinil - acrilat de butil în solutie de acetat de etil, 3,4....4,1% în greutate 1,1,1-tricloretan stabilizat.
