Abstract
Prezenta inventie se refera la un procedeu de obtinere a alfametilstirenului prin deshidratarea catalitica a dimetil-fenilcarbinolului. Procedeul de obtinere a alfa-metilstirenului prin deshidratarea dimetilfenilcarbinolului consta într-o reactie care are loc la temperaturi cuprinse între 250 si 300 degree C, cu viteze volumare de 4...5 h<sup>-1</sup>, la presiunea totala în sistem de 1 at, în prezenta unui catalizator de deshidratare de tipul TiO<sub>2</sub>Al<sub>2<sup>O</sub>3<sub>, dimetilfenilcarbinolul continând o cantitate de apa de 4...7% în greutate, raportata la carbinol.The present invention relates to a process for the production of alpha-methylstyrene by the catalytic dehydration of dimethyl-phenylcarbinol.
