The essential features of a table having a top with an opening in the middle and four legs perpendicular to its surface and symmetrically arranged in relation to it are that the top has, on its multi-part upper surface, a patterned structure made of flat cuboidal elements resembling boards, symmetrically arranged in relation to the axis of symmetry and surrounded by a multi-part frame element made of a number of flat segments of different lengths and shapes, wherein the top has the shape of an elongated rectangle with rounded corners, its rectangular central part has rectangular cuboidal elements in a mirror arrangement in relation to the axis of longitudinal symmetry and its two rectangular central strips, and the rectangular end parts of the top have cuboidal elements in the shape of elongated rectangles passing through in the longitudinal direction of the table, while the frame element has the form of a flat rim, the shorter flat segments of which, limiting the central part and both shorter sides of the table top, have the shape of a cuboid and are approximately the same length, and the longer flat segments lying on the side of the longer sides of the table have a rounding, approximately corresponding to the outline of one quarter of the circumference of a circle, while the table legs, being cuboid elements with a substantially square cross-section, are situated approximately halfway along the length of the rounded flat segments of the table top.
