Przedmiotem wynalazku jest srodek flotacyjny nadajacy sie do flotacji wegla, rud miedzi, siarki i podobnych zastosowan oraz sposób jego wy¬ twarzania.Znane dotychczas srodki flotacyjne, takie jak na przyklad oleje koksownicze, odznaczaja sie mala selektywnoscia, wiekszym zuzyciem w pro¬ cesie flotacji oraz powoduja zanieczyszczenia wód sciekowych fenolem.W procesie produkcji alkoholu butylowego lub oktylowego z aldehydu octowego przez aldol i aldehyd krotonowy, otrzymuje sie ubocznie pro¬ dukty ciezkie. Produkty te stanowia mieszanine alkoholi n-butylowego pierwszo- i drugorzedo- wego, amylowego, izobutylowego, propylowego oraz weglowodorów alifatycznych i innych produktów kondensacji aldehydów. Dodatek substancji pianotwórczych spel¬ nia role wznoszenia materialu flotowanego.Sposób wytwarzania srodka flotacyjnego we¬ dlug wynalazku polega na tym, ze wyzej wrzace produkty ciezkie, wytworzone ubocznie w proce¬ sie produkcji alkoholu butylowego lub oktylowe¬ go, zawierajace w swym skladzie miedzy innymi estry wyzszych alkoholi oraz kwasów, poddaje sie 84 51584 515 3 procesowi zmydlania przy pomocy roztworu lugu sodowego wedlug ogólnego schematu reakcji: CH3—CH2—CH2—COO—CH2^CH2—CH2—CH3 + + NaOH^ CH3—CH2^CH2—OOONa + CH3^CH2— 5 —CH2—CH2^OH Proces zmydlania przebiega w kolumnie pól¬ kowej, do której doprowadza sie mieszanine wy¬ zej wrzacych zwiazków organicznych oraz roz¬ twór lugu sodowego. PLThe subject of the invention is a flotation agent suitable for the flotation of coal, copper ores, sulfur and similar applications and a method of its production. Known flotation agents, such as, for example, coke oven oils, are characterized by low selectivity, greater consumption in the flotation process and cause phenol to contaminate wastewater. In the production of butyl or octyl alcohol from acetaldehyde by aldol and crotonaldehyde, heavy products are obtained by-products. These products are a mixture of primary and secondary n-butyl alcohols, amyl, isobutyl, propyl and aliphatic hydrocarbons and other products of aldehyde condensation. The percentage of individual components is as follows: alcohols about 30%, hydrocarbons about 55%, products condensation of aldehydes about 10% and water about 5%. Isolation of valuable products, which are alcohols, from such a mixture is very onerous and expensive. Until now, no industrial application has been found for the mixture of these products and, therefore, they are most often burned under boilers. The aim of the research, which led to the development of the invention, was to process heavy products in such a way that at low costs of this processing, they were obtained from with good floating properties. The usefulness of the flotation agent is determined by such parameters as: water insolubility, good and selective absorption capacity on the surface of the floted material, and an appropriate foam formation and stability index. It turned out that the flotation agent with good properties can be obtained by mixing heavy products, obtained as a by-product in the production of higher alcohols, for example butyl or octyl alcohol from acetaldehyde, with a small amount, in the range of 0.5-5% by weight, of alkyl sulphonate foaming substances, which are sodium or potassium salts of alkylsulfonic acids derivatives single or multi-ring hydrocarbons. The mixture of hydrocarbons obtained by-products from the production of butyl or octyl alcohol has selective absorption properties on the mineral surface. The addition of foam-forming substances fulfills the role of raising the flotate material. The method of producing the flotation agent according to the invention consists in the fact that the above-boiling heavy products, produced by-products in the production of butyl or octyl alcohol, contain, among others, esters higher alcohols and acids are subjected to the saponification process with sodium liquor according to the general reaction scheme: CH3 — CH2 — CH2 — COO — CH2 ^ CH2 — CH2 — CH3 + + NaOH ^ CH3 — CH2 ^ CH2 — OOONa + CH 3 · CH 2 · 5 — CH 2 — CH 2 · OH The saponification process takes place in a plate column fed with a mixture of higher boiling organic compounds and a sodium liquor solution. The saponification process decomposes esters to alcohols and sodium salts of organic acids. Above, boiling organic compounds and sodium salts of organic acids accumulate at the bottom of the column. Below, boiling organic compounds, such as residual butanol vapors, distil off the top of the column, and then condense in a condenser, where they flow to the crude butanol tank. The above-boiling products are poured from the top of the column into the separator, where the separation into two layers takes place: the lower water layer is suspended in 50 75 100 125 150 175 200 225 22.7 21.5 22.0, 6 19.9 21, 2 22.0 19.4 The compiled studies show that the floatation agent according to the invention has almost twice as high selectivity as compared to coke oven oil, which allows for obtaining better concentrates with lower consumption of flotant. The flotation agent according to the invention does not contain phenol, which improves the working conditions with sodium salts of organic acids and the upper layer consisting of a mixture of the above boiling hydrocarbons. The water layer is discharged into the sewage system of chemically polluted waters, and the hydrocarbon layer is collected in a storage tank for further processing into a floatation agent. For this purpose, 0.5-5% by weight, based on the hydrocarbon fraction of the foaming agent, constituting a solution of the alkylsulfonates, for example the sodium or potassium salt of dibutylnaphthalenesulfonic acid, is fed to the tank provided with an agitator. Then, hydrocarbon fractions, which remain after the saponification of esters with lye, are introduced into the mixer from the storage tank. The process of mixing the ingredients is carried out at a temperature of 20-50 ° C for about 2 hours. The obtained product was tested in the flotation process of coal, copper and sulfur ores, obtaining satisfactory results. The enclosed tables characterize the yield of coal depending on the flotation agent used. 18.1 26.3 31.6 37.5 41.0 45.2 51.2 54.6 7.1 7.9 8.5 8.8 9.4, 1 11 5 11.9 at the fleet plant and not allows the environment to be polluted with phenol.
