Description
Normalny pyrofosforan sody Naj)201 przy praniu surowej welny daje lepsze re¬ zultaty niz trój zasadowy fosforan sody, chociaz pyrofosforan posiada nizsza alka¬ licznosc. PLSoda pyrophosphate has so far been used in textile chemistry as a good agent for removing ink stains, because it forms a double salt, soluble in water with iron compounds. It has been found that pyrophosphoric acid and its salts can be used for washing even dyed fabrics and are especially suitable for washing dyed fabrics. for washing wool, silk, fine and other fabrics. Also, fuzzy fibers, such as raw wool, can be treated with pyrophosphoric acid or its salts. For washing wool and silk fabrics, the alkaline of which does not damage, they were used in the past as washing agents, acting mildly, alkaline salts phosphoric acid due to their alkalinity, while the ability to wash pyrophosphoric acid and its salts is a special property of these compounds, which in some cases directly act as emulsifying agents. Normal soda pyrophosphate, when washing raw wool, gives better results than the tri-base sodium phosphate, although the pyrophosphate has a lower alkalinity. When comparing sodium pyrophosphate and dibasic sodium phosphate, which are less equally alkaline, it turns out that roughly three to four times the amount of dibasic sodium phosphate is needed to achieve the same roasting effect. So in normal pyrophosphate we have a washing agent that works very effectively even with very slightly alkaline solutions. The acid salt compounds of the composition Me2H2 P207 [Me = metal residue) and phosphoric acid as such are washable, so you can work thin fabrics with neutral or acid solutions. Neutral or acid detergent is most easily obtained from normal sodium pyrophosphate by adding acids. The action of pyrophosphoric acid or its salts can be greatly enhanced by using them simultaneously with known detergents or emulsifiers, such as, for example, sulphate, trigant, glue, gelatine, protein bodies, saponin, and also salts of various fatty acids and other soaps.
