Description

PLThe invention relates to a method of impregnating films, and in comparison with known methods, it has the advantage that the irradiation time is significantly lower. The new method essentially consists in the fact that a celluloid backing, coated with a layer of gelatin or rubber, is soaked in a known method with a chromate solution. Namely, a solution of potassium dichromate, potassium ferricate and potassium bromide is added to this layer (for example, per 1 liter of solution, 30 parts of dichromate, 5 parts of ferric cyanide and 5 parts of potassium bromide). This additive can be applied already before applying the layer to the celluloid tape, or also after application. The emulsion primer is then irradiated, soaking in warm water eventually stains and the film is ready. It is also possible to produce not warm, but cold water; then the unexposed gelatine swells so strongly that the image becomes visible already when wet. PL
