Abstract

433,538. Photographic films ; printing. SIEMENS & HALSKE AKT.-GES., Siemensstadt, Berlin. Feb. 12, 1934, No. 4631. Convention date, Feb. 10, 1933. Addition to 407,830. [Class 98 (ii)] Comprises a metallic photographic film of aluminium, aluminium alloy or a metal, e.g. copper, coated with aluminium, having as photographic base a porous carrier layer of an aluminium compound artificially produced on the aluminium surface and impregnated with light-sensitive substances in accordance with the process of the parent Specification. The porous layer may be produced by plunging the metal into aqueous solutions or fused substances, with or without application of direct or alternating current. Impregnation with lightsensitive substance may be effected by coating spraying or by immersion. Developed silver pictures may be toned ; and the porous layers may be coloured. The films may be sensitized on both sides. The porous layer may be subjected to intermediate treatment as described in Specification 432,984 ; and the films may be copied by the use of R÷ntgen rays, as described in Specification 435,184. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 describes also the application of an emulsion e.g. of gelatine or collodion, to the porous layer ; and also the subject-matter of Specifications 432,984 and 435,184. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
