Głowica wrębowa do maszyny górniczej zawiera bęben (54), łopatę (58) oraz zespół noża wrębowego znajdujący się w pobliżu powierzchni łopaty (58). Bęben (54) zawiera pierwsze zakończenie, drugie zakończenie oraz powierzchnię zewnętrzną, przy czym bęben (54) może się obracać wokół osi bębna (54). Łopata (58) jest sprzężona z powierzchnią zewnętrzną bębna (54) i wystaje promieniowo od osi bębna (54). W niektórych aspektach łopata (58) zawiera płaski element biegnący co najmniej częściowo wokół osi bębna (54) i co najmniej częściowo między pierwszym zakończeniem bębna (54) a drugim zakończeniem bębna (54). W niektórych aspektach bęben (54) zawiera wiele płaskich ścian, biegnących między pierwszym zakończeniem a drugim zakończeniem.
