Schody posiadaja mechanizm zabezpieczajacy (3) przed niekontrolowanym oddaleniem sie co najmniej dwóch ostatnich segmentów schodów od segmentu pierwszego (11) przez obrót w zawiasach (21), który to mechanizm usytuowany jest w poblizu górnego konca segmentów, korzystnie nakladkowe na zawiasie wysiegnikowym (23), laczacym segmenty: drugi (12) i trzeci (13). Mechanizm zabezpieczajacy (3) odblokuje sie poprzez uniesienie, przez uzytkownika schodów dolnej czesci segmentów: trzeciego (13) i czwartego (14). Schody maja tez blokade dolna (6) na zawiasie (22) laczacym segmenty: trzeci (13) i czwarty (14).
