Description
PLThe subject of the present invention is a method of producing matte synthetic fibers from viscose. In the production of viscose fibers, by known methods, finely ground solid or liquid materials added to the viscose prior to passing are not separated from the regenerated cellulose fibers. in imparting a milky appearance to the fibers, which is achieved by appropriate treatment during the manufacture of the fibers. The conditions under which the treatments are carried out correspond to the conditions under which, with the methods used so far, fiber defects arise, namely the so-called "milk silk" or white stains on the fibers are retained. The invention is therefore based on the fact that these The disadvantage of the previous methods is to spread evenly over the entire length of the fiber. This is achieved by using viscose, which contains a much greater amount of sulfur than the amount contained in normal viscose. the amount corresponding to at least 20% of the amount of this compound used in the production of xanthogen. The viscose thus obtained matures at a slower rate than normal viscose. Carbon disulfide can be added alone or with a suitable agent This medium should facilitate the separation of the carbon disulphide in the viscose and reduce its tendency to separate by evaporation. For example, vaseline oil in an amount corresponding to the amount of carbon disulfide is suitable. The dissolving agent also reduces the gloss of the fibers, however, the fibers produced in accordance with the invention have an appearance different from that of the fibers made of viscose when only the dissolving agent is added thereto.
