The beam may constitute part of the frame of the mattress or seat and occur in combination with other beams of this form or in combination with traditional beams of uniform shape. It may be made of various types of materials and synthetics. The new and original form of the industrial design is manifested in giving the product a characteristic shape, lines and contours. The beam of mattresses and furniture seats according to the industrial design is shaped in such a way that in one, longer side of the beam there are cut-outs creating projections and notches, running along its entire height. The cut-outs have a stepped triangular shape and the top of the triangles is hexagonal, they reach to about one third of the width of the beam. The cutouts run along the entire side of the beam in a regular manner and are identical along its entire length. The cutouts are made in such a way that the shapes of the resulting projections and notches are similar.
