Sofa. Przedmiotem wzoru przemyslowego jest sofa pelniaca role mebla do siedzenia, odrebnego lub nalezacego do zestawu mebli wypoczynkowych, przeznaczona zarówno do pomieszczen mieszkalnych jak i pomieszczen uzytkowych o charakterze biurowym, gabinetowym itd. Istote wzoru przemyslowego stanowi nowa postac przedmiotu i jego elementów skladowych urzeczywistniona w przedstawianych odmianach mebla, przejawiajaca sie w uformowaniu ksztaltowym jego poszczególnych elementów skladowych oraz ukladzie i rodzaju uzytych materialów konstrukcyjnych i obiciowych. The subject of the industrial design is a sofa serving as a seating unit, either as a standalone piece or as part of a lounge suite, intended for both residential and commercial spaces such as offices, study rooms, etc. The essence of the industrial design is the new form of the object and its components, embodied in the presented furniture variations, manifesting itself in the shape of its individual components and the arrangement and type of construction and upholstery materials used. An industrial-design sofa consists of a seat support structure with shaped sides attached to it, a backrest positioned between the sides, shaped legs attached to the underside of the sides, and seat cushions placed on the seat support structure. In all varieties of industrial-design sofas, the sides of the sofa are fancifully shaped solids, with a generally rectangular lateral outline, slightly outward from the center of the furniture in front view, and a parabolically convex upper surface that merges radially into the side walls, so that the inner walls descend in a gently parabolic curve into the upper surface of the seat support structure, while the outer side walls descend approximately vertically in a slightly convex arc to the bottom edge of the sofa. The sides are integrated with the sofa's supporting structure so that the inner side walls seamlessly merge with the upper surface of the seat's supporting structure, creating a kind of basin in which the seat cushions are positioned adjacent to the upper surface of the supporting structure. Furthermore, the sides are attached to the sofa's supporting structure so that their front and rear edges, together with it, form a common line of the sofa's lower outline. In the front view, the sides have an elliptical upper outline, elongated vertically, truncated by the boundary defined by the sofa's lower edge. The front view of the sofa features decorative stitching that runs in a slight arc along the front surface of the sides from both lower front corners, rising at an angle of approximately 45 degrees toward the seat shell. Depending on the sofa, the stitching is single or double. Depending on the sofa, the seat cushions may have different lower front edges. The seat cushions are upholstered in the first type of upholstery material. The seat cushions are flat at the top and conform to the sofa's upper support structure at the bottom. Depending on the sofa, they may be assembled into a single, monolithic seat unit or constitute two separate, mirror-image modules resting within the seat shell. Between the sides, the sofa has a backrest, rectangular in shape at the rear, transitioning from the rear wall in a radial parabola to the front, the actual backrest surface, up to the point of contact with the seat cushions. Its upper section is decoratively upholstered in a second type of material, preferably leather or a leather-like material, while the remaining sections of the backrest are upholstered in a first type of material. Preferably, a single decorative seam runs along the horizontal edges of the decorative upholstery on the upper part of the backrest. Depending on the variant, the backrest may be assembled into a single monolithic block or consist of two modules, separated on the interior side of the sofa, and may have subtle vertical parallel stitching on its rear panel. Shaped legs are attached to the underside of the sofa's sides, distancing them from the floor surface to prevent damage to the underside and scratching of the interior's usable surface when the furniture is moved. The sofa's legs are made of wood or another material providing similar aesthetic properties and preferably have the shape of an oblique prism, with a lower base smaller than the upper base. The outer surfaces of the sides, like the backrest, are upholstered with two types of upholstery material, so that the arrangement of the materials optically divides the side surface into three parts, the outer two of which are upholstered with the second type of material, also used for the supporting structure, preferably leather or a leather-like material, while the remaining central part of the side surface is upholstered with the first type of material, used for the seat cushions. In a side view, the fragment of the side upholstered with the first type of material has a shape similar to an isosceles triangle with its base constituting part of the course of the lower edge of the side, situated approximately in the middle part of the side, with its upper apex situated at a height of not less than 20% of the side height; along the arms of the triangular section of material, on the joining edge of both types of upholstery materials, decorative single seams are run, which converge at the upper apex of the designated triangle and continue vertically parallel to each other as a double decorative seam, along a line which is an extension of the central base of the designated triangle and at the same time the place of joining of the outer sections of the second type of material, passing through the curve of the upper surface of the side and its inner side wall up to the point where they are hidden behind the outline of the seat cushions. The remaining two parts of the side surface, separated by the aforementioned triangular section, are approximately symmetrical to each other. Individual variants of the industrial design sofa may differ in the shape of the lower edge of the seat cushions, the division of the seat and backrest cushions, the use of single or double decorative stitching, and the presence of additional decorative cushions, as shown in Fig. 1-Fig. 18.6. In the first variant of the industrial design sofa, the sofa has a two-part backrest and two seat cushions, the lower edge of which runs from the center of the sofa horizontally, parallel to its lower edge, and then rises radially to the upper horizontal edge, creating a kind of rounding corresponding to the local arched shape of the supporting structure and side of the sofa, as shown in Fig. 1 and Fig. 2. The second variety of the industrial design sofa differs from the first variety in that the sofa has a monolithic seat, as shown in Fig. 3 and Fig. 4. In the third variety of the industrial design sofa, the sofa has a two-part backrest and two seat cushions, the fancifully shaped lower edge of which runs from the center of the sofa slightly diagonally down to the sides of the sofa, non-parallel to its lower edge, and then rises radially to the upper horizontal edge, creating a kind of rounding corresponding to the local arcuate shape of the supporting structure and side of the sofa, as shown in Fig. 5 and Fig. 6. The fourth variety of the industrial design sofa differs from the third variety in that the sofa has a monolithic seat, as shown in Fig. 7 and Fig. 8. The fifth variety of the industrial design sofa differs from the fourth variety in that the sofa has both a monolithic backrest and seat, as shown in Fig.9 and Fig.10.
