Abstract

This utility model relates generally to flour processing from wild yam root crop by means of extracting the juice from this plant that can be product development. The process comprises the following steps: selecting the matured wild yam root crop; harvesting the matured wild yam root crop; scraping or peeling the outer skin or covering of the wild yam root crop; slicing or cutting thinly the wild yam root crop into small pieces; marinating the sliced yam root with salt into a container from 24-36 hours to extract juice from the slice wild yam; soaking the slice and marinated wild yam into free flowing or running water for another 36 hours until such time that the juice become clear; draining the slice marinated wild yam out into the basin; drying the slice wild yam under the heat of the sun until it is fully crispy; and grinding or pounding the crispy dried slice yam.
