Abstract
La presente invencion se refiere a una composicion y un metodo para tratar una herida en un sujeto que necesita dicho tratamiento. Una composicion comprende un polipeptido de acuerdo con la SEQ ID NO: 1 o 2, o un derivado o analogo del mismo, en un vehiculo adecuado para la administracion transdermica del polipeptido. El metodo incluye administrar al sujeto la composicion que comprende un polipeptido de acuerdo con la SEQ ID NO: 1 o 2, o un derivado o analogo del mismo, en un vehiculo adecuado para la administracion transdermica del polipeptido a un sitio de herida. Las composiciones de la presente invencion se pueden administrarse a la piel herida y/o a una cavidad topica de la herida de un paciente como una dosis profilactica o terapeutica, o como un cosmetico para la piel, y pueden administrarse opcionalmente por medio de un aposito humedecido.
