Abstract
La invencion se refiere a un material compuesto basado en aleaciones producidas in situ, especialmente aleaciones a base de hierro, reforzado con carburo de tungsteno en forma de cristales y/o particulas, que pueden caracterizarse por el hecho de que la microestructura del material compuesto dentro de la capa compuesta y/o la zona compuesta comprende cristales facetados (6) y/o particulas facetadas de carburo de tungsteno, que proporcionan una distribucion macroscopica y microscopica uniforme, en donde los cristales (6) y/o particulas de carburo de tungsteno incluyen nano y/o microzonas (7) irregulares y/o redondas y/u ovaladas rellenadas con aleacion basada en metal. La invencion tambien se refiere a composiciones de polvos usadas para producir el material compuesto y metodos para su produccion, asi como tambien a la fundicion del elemento de trabajo fabricado con tales materiales compuestos o mediante el uso de dicho metodo.
