Abstract

Esta invencion se refiere a un proceso para la recuperacion de metales de valor de una mena, con significativamente reducido consumo de agua, a traves del tratamiento y almacenamiento separados de relaves de gruesos. La mena es molida para producir una mena de material particulado grueso. La mena de material particulado grueso se trata en una etapa de flotacion de gruesos para producir una fraccion de concentrado de bajo grado y una fraccion de relaves de gruesos. La fraccion de concentrado de bajo grado es tratada para producir relaves de finos y un concentrado para la venta. Los relaves de gruesos son tratados separadamente de los relaves de finos, y se recupera agua de los relaves de gruesos mediante el apilamiento hidraulico, la filtracion o el tamizado, despues de lo cual, los relaves de gruesos son apilados en seco, sin ser recombinados con los relaves de finos
