Abstract
Esta invención se refiere a un proceso para la recuperación de metales de valor de una mena, con significativamente reducido consumo de agua, a través del tratamiento y almacenamiento separados de relaves de gruesos. La mena es molida para producir una mena de material particulado grueso. La mena de material particulado grueso se trata en una etapa de flotación de gruesos para producir una fracción de concentrado de bajo grado y una fracción de relaves de gruesos. La fracción de concentrado de bajo grado es tratada para producir relaves de finos y un concentrado para la venta. Los relaves de gruesos son tratados separadamente de los relaves de finos, y se recupera agua de los relaves de gruesos mediante el apilamiento hidráulico, la filtración o el tamizado, después de lo cual, los relaves de gruesos son apilados en seco, sin ser recombinados con los relaves de finos.
