Abstract

ppfinnelsen vedrører en blanding basert på ceriumoksyd eller på cerium- og zirkoniumoksyder, i ekstrudert form, en fremgangsmåte for fremstilling derav og anvendelse derav som katalysator. Fremgangsmåten for fremstilling av blandingen i henhold til oppfinnelsen er kjennetegnet ved at et cerium-hydroksyd eller -oksyhydroksyd eller cerium- og zirkonium-hydroksyder eller -oksyhydroksyder ekstruderes.Blandingen kan anvendes som en katalysator eller katalysatorbærer, særlig for behandling av avgasser fra forbrenningsmotorer, i prosessen med dehydrogenering av etylbenzen til styren, i katalyse av metanisering eller i behandling av en' oppløsning eller suspensjon av organiske forbindelser ved oksydasjon via en våt rute.
