Abstract

Oppfinnelsen vedrører en fremgangsmåte for bestemmelse av en avlings kvalitet, omfattende bestemmelse av minst en karakteristisk parameter i avlingens fotosynteseprosess, hvorved parameteren funksjonerer som en kvalitetsindikator for avlingen. Parameteren tilhører fotosystem I (PSI), som er i og for seg kjent, og bestemmelsen av parameteren om- fatter følgende trinn: a) at i det minste noen av et antall typer molekyler, som befinner seg på donorsiden i PSI, bringes i en oksidert tilstand, b) at i det minste noen av de oksiderte molekyler tillates å reduseres, samt c) at det bestemmes en relaksa- sjonsparameter som inneholder informasjon om reduksjons- hastigheten, hvorved trinn c) omfatter i det minste følgende undertrinn: 1) måling av lysabsorpsjon i et forut- bestemt bølgelengdeområde ved hjelp av de oksiderte mole- kyler i avlingen under reduksjonen, og 2) beregning av hastigheten for endring i den målte absorpsjon som en funksjon av tid, hvorved hastighetsparameteren er relaksa- sj onsparameteren.
