Abstract

En brukerprofil for bruk i eksempelvis en personlig nummereringstjeneste, har en tilordnet konfidensverdi for hvert av adresseterminalnumrene i profilen, en konfidensverdi som representerer tiltroen til at et anrop blir besvart ved den tilord-nede nett-terminal. Når en tjeneste som bruker profilen behøver å rute et anrop for en bruker, blir den tilsvarende profil aksessert og anropet blir rutet til det adresseterminalnummer som har den høyeste konfidensverdi. Profilen blir admi-nistrert for å modifisere konfidensverdiene i avhengighet av utfallet av anropet, og også på grunnlag av registrering av en personlig nummerbruker ved en nett-terminal. Konfidensverdiene er sannsynligheter, og når en verdi blir øket på grunn av et vellykket utfall, blir de andre verdiene justert. Verdiene kan være en funksjon av tiden for å representere avtakende tiltro til at en bruker fremdeles er ved den nett-terminal hvor han sist ble registrert.
