Abstract

Elektrotermisk aktuator (40) til bruk for ventilaktivering i en undervanns rørledning, omfattende et stempel (43) som forskyves ved at oppvarmingselementer (59) reguleres for å oppvarme en faseovergangsvoks (M). Voksen ekspanderer f.eks. 15-20% i volum mellom 60° C og 70DC. Forskyvning av stempelet (43) overføres til et drivstempel (48) og til en drivstang (49) av olje (D) som inneholdes i kamre (66, 67, 72). Når en posisjonsføler (75) detekterer at stempelet (48) er forskjøvet til en aktiveringsstilling, slås varmeelementene (59) av, og en hydraulisk sperre (74) aktiveres for å sperre strøm av oljen (D) i en kanal (73), for derved å sperre drivstangen (49). Kontraksjon av voksen (M) når den avkjøles muliggjør at et kompensasjonsstempel (44) kan beveges mot stempelet (43).
