Abstract
Spesialferger kan ha identiske motorer ved baug og hekk for å unngå en vending av skipet ved skifte av fartsretningen. Vanligvis blir ved fart turtallet til forre propell valg lavere enn turtallet til aktre propell. I henhold til oppfinnelsen foretas for å optimere effektiviteten en minimalverdiregulering av summen av de detekterte effektive ytelser til begge fremdriftssystemer. Ved den tilhørende anordning has en regulator (10) med de effektive ytelser til begge motorer som inngangsstørrelser, idet turtallet til baugpropellen ved hvilken summen av de effektive ytelser er et minimum, bestemmes i regulatoren (10).
