Abstract
The transducer determines the mean flow speed using ultrasonic signals. An essentially tubular housing (1) has inlet and outlet ports (2,3) connected via an intermediate section (4). The liquid passes through an essentially uniform, axial path from the inlet to the outlet via the intermediate section. An ultrasonic measurement path is formed in the intermediate section between transducers (9,10) in contact with the liquid. The intermediate section has radial surfaces (8) to which the transducer carriers (11) are attached. The surfaces have bores (12) via which the connecting wires to the transducers are fed from inside the housing to the exterior.
