Abstract

En fremgangsmåte for bestemmelse av reticulocyt-populasjonen i blodprøver omfatter anvendelsen av corifosfin O for å farve reticulocytter. Fremgangsmåten er særlig egnet for detektering ved strømningscytometri-teknikker. Optikken (10) for et strømningscytometer som kan benyttes ved fremgangsmåten omfatter en argon-ionelaser (12) som lyskilde og som belyser en blodprøve som strømmer gjennom en strømningscelle (14). Spredt lys og fluorescens faller mot et dikroisk speil (22) som tjener til refleksjon av rettvinklet spredt lys (24) og i transmisjon av fluorescens (26). Et ytterligere dikroisk speil (30) reflekterer grønn fluorescens (32) og transmitterer rød fluorescens (38).
