Kokille for strengstøping av valse- eller pressbarrer, idet kokillen omfatter et hulsylindrisk element med et sylindrisk kokillehulrom (10) og en innløps (12) - og utløpsåpning (14), og kokillen består av i det minste to ringformede kokilleelementer (20, 30) med en felles midtre akse (m), idet ett kokilleelement, en indre hylse (30), befinner seg innerst mot aksen (m) og sideveis avgrenser kokillehulrommet (10), mens det andre kokille- elementet, et bærende element (20), befinner seg ytterst og inneholder hylsen (30). Kokilleelementene (20, 30) er løsbart forbundet med hverandre ved innskyvning av hylsen (30) i det bærende elementet (20), og den siden av hylsen (30) som vender mot det bærende elementet (20) og/eller den siden av det bærende elementet (20) som vender mot hylsen (30) er av en slik beskaffenhet at etter sammenføyning av de to kokilleelementene (20, 30) avgrenses det et med kokilleaksen (m) konsentrisk, ring- formet hulrom, et andre kjølemiddelkammer (32), for tilførsel av kjølemiddel.
