Ved en elektrisk luftkabel med i tvinningssammenstillingen av elektriske ledere (3) og strekkfaste bæreelementer (1; 2) anordnede lysbølgelederelementer av små rør (4) som inneholder optiske fibrer (9) og som har et metallisk på- legg, er dette pålegg et i seg selv lukket metallsjikt (5) med liten vegg- tykkelse som står i direkte forbindelse med overflaten av det lille rør (4).
