Abstract

Det er beskrevet et apparat for mating av pulverformet råmateriale som for eksempel aluminiumoksyd til en elektrolyse som produserer aluminium. Elektrolysen Innbefatter et anode- og katodeapparat (l, 2) og organ med hvilket pulverformet råmateriale overføres fra en silo (5) eller tilsvarende til et mateapparat (10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15) med hvilket råmaterialet mates inn i elektrolyttsmelten (23). Mateapparatet innbefatter en boks (15) som kontrollerer matingen av råmateriale, til hvilken boks et materør (14) for råmateriale er forbundet. Mateorganet tllvelebragt med et mateorgan (13) anordnet til å operere inne l boksen 15, forbundet med en stempelstang (11) eller tilsvarende til en vibrator (10), med hvilken det tilveiebringes en hovedsakllg vertikal vibrasjon (V) av mateorganet. Den åpne nedre enden til boksen (15) er plassert i nærheten av overflaten (22) til elektrolyttsmelten (23) over denne, for å kunne operere inne i elektrolyttskorpen (25).
