Abstract

Denne oppfinnelse omfatter en polymeriseringsprosess til fremstilling av polymerer med smale molekylvektfor-delinger. Den omfatter at monomer og initiator tilsettes til en reaksjonsbeholder med anvendelse av en tilførsels-profil for monomer og en tilførselsprofil for initiator hvor tilførselsprofilene er slik. at forholdet mellom mono-merkonsentrasjonen og initiatorkonsentrasjonen bestemmes i overensstemmelse med en polymeriseringskinetikkrelasjon, mellom en utvalgt polymeriseringsgrad og monomerkonsen-trasjon, initiatorkonsentrasjon, reaksjonstemperatur og en faktor for polymeriseringseffektivitet, for derved å oppnå en tilnærmet konstant polymeriseringsgrad for polymer som fremstilles i løpet av polymeriseringsprosessen. Faktoren for polymeriseringsef f ektivitet tar hensyn til awik fra ideelle kinetikkrelasjoner.
