Abstract

Fremgangsmåte for å fremstille metallisk bly fra et material som omfatter blydioksyd og/eller metallisk bly, omfatter et prosesstrinn for opplesning av det bly som inneholdes i materialet, samt et elektrolysetrinn for katodisk avsetning av det oppløste bly. .Opplasningstrinnet utfcres ved bruk av en sur elektrolytt i nærvær av et redokspar som mellom sin oksyderte og oksydasjonsreduserte tilstand har et slik potensial at det kan redusere blydioksydet og/eller oksydere blyet, idet redoksparet kan regenereres under det prosesstrinn som går ut på elektrokjemisk avsetning av det oppløste bly. Denne fremgangsmåte anvendes særlig for fremstilling av bly fra det aktive material fra utbrukte akkumulatorer.
