Et rekombinant plasmid inneholdende minst ett replikon (oril), minst én seleksjons-markør (sml), minst én promotor (prl) og DNA-sekvenser fra et koppervirusgenom som flankerer denne promotor, og en fler-funksjonen DNA-sekvenskassett anordnet på nedsiden av promtoren (prl), er fremstilt. Den flerfunksjonene DNA-sekvenskassett inneholder sekvenser som er komplementære til i handelen tilgjen-gelige primersekvenser som har vist sin nytte i praksis, et translasjonsinitieringskodon og flere restriksjons-endonuklease-kloyvingsseter og stopp-kodoner i alle tre rammer som folger etter dette translasjonsinitieringskodon. Det rekombinante plasmid er egnet til ekspresjon av fremmedproteiner i eukaryote vertscellers cytoplasma etter innsetting i et koppervirusgenom.
