Abstract

For styring av et biologisk rense- trinn av den aerobe og aktivertslaratype overvåker man kontinuerlig en eller flere av de mikroorganismer som opptrer hyppigst i det aktiverte slam, med hen- syn på dens/deres mengde, idet man i en representativ prave av cet aktiverte slam og/eller tilførselen til bassenget med aktivert slam binder disse mikroorganis- mene til fluorescensmerkede antistoffer som er rettet mot de utvalgte mikroorga- nismer, eller lar disse mikroorganismene omsettes med et fluorogent substrat gjennom en spesifikk stoffskifteytelse, bestemmer mengden av de derved fluore- scensmerkede mikroorganismer ved hjelp av gjennomstr*e.-ingscytometri og samtidig bestemmer totalmengden av de tilstede- værende mikroorganismer g.jeanom måling av spredt lys og/eller fargi.-.g av DNA, og regulerer me.-.gden av en eller flere av de bestemte mikroorganismene og/eller vekstbetingelse.-.e for disse mikroorganis- mene som funksjon av de derved erholdte måleverdier.
