Abstract
In a motor vehicle with low ground clearance a low-profile rigid axle linkage with the following characteristics is provided. Viewed looking forwards in the direction of travel, the axle-supporting elements are arranged drawn in front of the rigid axle body (2), pivotally mounted on this and the vehicle frame (18) and freed of the moment support function. For supporting the moments, a mobile axle link (36) is provided which, viewed looking forwards in the direction of travel, is arranged offset behind the rigid axle body (2) firmly connected to this at one end and at the other end is suspended on the vehicle frame (18), by means of a distance element (37), which is as rigid as possible in the vertical direction, but otherwise permits limited longitudinal, transverse and tilting movements of the axle link (36). <IMAGE>
