Fremgangsmåte for økning av trans-dermal avlevering av et farmasøytisk. virksomt legemiddel fra et transdermalt avleveringssystem, samt et transdermalt avleveringssystem som er i stand. til å gi en ønskelig strmningsgrense-flate mellom avleveringssystemet og. hudoverflaten. Fremgangsmåten omfatter. forbehandling av et hudområde med et. anticholinergisk middel i en mengde som. er tilstrekkelig til å ha en lokal. antisekretorisk virkning på det be-handlede område, idet en slik mengde er. utilstrekkelig til å forårsake syste-miske virkninger, og påføring av trans-dermale avleveringssystemer på de for-bahandlede områder. Avleveringssystemet. ifølge foreliggende oppfinnelse består. av et bærermiddel, et farmasøytisk. virksomt legemiddel og et anticholi-. nergisk middel. Både i fremgangsmåten og i avleveringssystemet er det anti-cholinergiske middel fortrinnsvis et kvaternært ammoniumsalt som selv av-leveres transdermalt til området under avleveringssystemet i en mengde som er tilstrekkelig til å undertrykke transpirasjon i området.
