Description
Demmesjiktdannende brannbeskyttelsesmaling er kjent. De påføres på stål-, betong- og trekonstruksjonsdeler som påstrykninger og danner ved ildspåvirkning et porøst opp-blåst varmedemmende sjikt, som forsinker oppvarmningen av det underliggende material, således at stål- og betongdeler i brann-tilfelle først senere taper sin fasthet enn ubeskyttede deler,
og ved tre forsinkes oppflammingen.
'Disse malinger egner seg imidlertid bare til be-skyttelse av flateaktige strukturer. Por den ildshemmende av-sperring av. fuger, eksempelvis utvidelsesfuger i tak, eller for sikring av gjennombrudd eller hulrom er de av naturen uegnet.
For défete formål tjente hittil forskjellige sys-terner, eksempelvis glassfiberlaminater, kombinasjoner av glass-fibre eller skummede kunststoffgranulater, som forbindes med - ■butylkautsjukstrimler (britisk patent nr. 1.080.170), tetnings-masser av omsetningsprodukter av svovel med difenylditiofosfat
og styren (fransk patent nr. 1.502.687) og vulkaniserte silikon-elastomere (japansk patent nr. 09^-385)•
Delvis kan disse masser bare tjene til avtetning
av fuger, men imidlertid ikke til sikring av større hulrom. Felles for dem er at de riktignok er tung- eller ikke oppflam-bare, at de imidlertid ikke danner demmesjikt og ved ildspåvirkning sprøgjøres og taper klebningen, således at det ikke er mere sikret noen god avslutning.
Ifølge oppfinnelsen tilveiebringes nå en demmesjiktdannende tetningsmasse, som heller ikke over lengere tid sprø-gjøres og ilds- og røktett avsperrer fuger og lignende i brann-tilfellet over lengere tid.
Tetningsmassene ifølge oppfinnelsen inneholder som bindemiddel en blanding av et vinylkloridholdig b.landingspoly-merisat med en K-verdi over 60, et annet klorholdig polymerisat, fortrinnsvis et ytterligere vinylkloridholdig blandingspolymerisat med en K-verdi fra ca- 50 til ca. 60, minst et mykningsmiddel som oppløser polymerisatblandingen og gelatinerer og minst et mykningsmiddel som ikke oppløser polymerisatet og ikke tenderer til utsvetning samt vanlige stabilisatorer for polymerisatblandingen, spesielt organiske tinnforbindelser.
Som demmesjiktdanner inneholder de i og for seg for dette formål kjente stoffer, spesielt ammoniumpolyf osf at, me.lamin, pentaerytrit og stivelse. Dessuten kan massen for innstilling av forarbeidbarheten og standfasthet inneholde uorganiske fyllstoffer som kalsiumkarbonat, bariumsulfat og glass- eller mineralfibre.
Som vinylkloridholdige polymerisater kommer det eksempelvis på tale. blandingspolymerisater av vinylklorid og maleinsyreestere, spesielt dibutylmaleinat eller vinylacetat, som er oppnåelig i handelen som råstoffer for lakk- og kunst-stoff industrien. Som klorholdig polymerisåt kan det eksempelvis også anvendes polyklorbutadien.
Mykningsmidler, som oppløser polymerisatblandingen og gelatinerer er eksempelvis alifatiske eller aromatiske estere av ftalsyre, adipinsyre, benzosyre, sebazinsyre og fosforsyre, videre tungtflyktige klorerte parafiner med et klorinnhold på minst 50$. Posforsyreestere og halogenerte hydrokarboner som motvirker oppflambarheten av massen foretrekkes derved.
Mykningsmidler som ikke oppløser polymerisatet og ikke tenderer ti-1 utsvetning har den oppgave å holde massen
fremfor alt permanentplastisk i overflaten. Til denne klasse hører eksempelvis ikke-tørkende fettsyreestere, f.eks. rizinus-olje, klorerte parafiner med et klorinnhold på ca. 40%, tri-kloretylfosfat, mineralolje, dibenzyltoluen.
Massen ifølge oppfinnelsen inneholder ikke lett-flyktige stoffer. De kleber godt, også på glatt underlag. De kan forarbeides for hånd eller også med trykkluftpistoler. I sistnevnte tilfelle bør forarbeidelsestemperaturen ikke'overstige ca. 90°C.
Ildmotstandsevnen ifølge DIN ^102 utgjør mer enn
90 minutter. I branhtilfellet danner massen et varmedemmende, mekanisk stabilt beskyttelsessjikt, som overveiende består av gassfylte karbonceller og selv ikke er brennbart. Det be-skyttende underliggende material for oppvarmning og danner en
virksom sperre mot gjennomtreden av røkgasser.

- Ildhemmende permanentplastisk tetningsmasse av et bindemiddel og i og for seg kjente, demmesjiktdannende tilset- . ninger, karakterisert ved at bindemidlet er en blanding av et vinylkloridholdig blandingspolymerisat med en K-verdi på over 60, et klorholdig polymerisat, fortrinnsvis et ytterligere vinylkloridholdig blandingspolymerisat med.en K-verdi på ca. 50-60, minst et mykningsmiddel, som oppløser og gelati^ nerer polymerisatblandingen og minst et mykningsmiddel, som ikke oppløser polymerisatblandingen og som ikke tenderer til utsvetning samt vanlige stabilisatorer for polymerisatblandingen.
