Description
Foreliggende oppfinnelse angår mikrobicidale sammensetninger med forbedret bakteriedrepende aktivitet. Oppfinnelsen angår synergistiske blandinger av o-fenylfenol (OPP) med 2-metyl-2H-isotiazol-3-en.
o-fenylfenol (OPP) er en kjent aktiv forbindelse. Den anvendes ved industriell konservering og desinfeksjon. Aktivitetsspekteret til OPP inkluderer både gram-positive og gram-negative bakterier, og også sopp og gjær. På tross av dette generelt gode mikrobiologiske aktivitetsspekter, er den anvendte konsentrasjon som kreves i praksis for å kontrollere visse typer mikroorganismer (for eksempel bakterier fra pseudomonadaceafamilien) ikke alltid helt tilfredsstillende ut fra et økonomisk og økologisk synspunkt. Det er derfor behov for brede aktive mikrobicidale sammensetninger som har en mer spesifikk virkning mot mikroorganismene som skal kontrolleres og som ytterligere kan inkorporeres uten noe problem i et stort antall substrater som skal beskyttes.
Foreliggende oppfinnelse omfatter mikrobicidal sammensetning, kjennetegnet ved
at den består av o-fenylfenol og 2-metyl-2H-isotiazol-3-on og eventuelle ekstendere og eventuelle surfaktanter.
Videre omfatter foreliggende oppfinnelse anvendelse av en sammensetning ifølge krav
1 for beskyttelse av industrielle materialer mot angrep av sopp og alger.
Omfattet av foreliggende oppfinnelse er også fremgangsmåte for å beskytte industrielle materialer mot angrep av sopp og alger, kjennetegnet ved at de industrielle materialer er tilsatt eller behandlet med en sammensetning ifølge krav 1.
Det er nå overraskende funnet at aktive forbindelsesblandinger av OPP og minst et ytterligere baktericid, i særdeleshet i spesielle blandingsforhold, har en uventet høy, synergistisk økt aktivitet. Som en konsekvens kan mengdene aktiv forbindelse som skal anvendes for å beskytte industrielle produkter reduseres, hvilket resulterer i mer økonomisk anvendelse eller et bidrag til økt konserveringskvalitet. I prinsippet kan det bekreftes at blandinger ifølge oppfinnelsen er en forbedring sammenliknet med kjent teknikk, dvs. anvendelse av individuelle aktive forbindelser. De nye aktive forbindelsblandingene anvendes fortrinnsvis for å konservere funksjonelle væsker og vanninneholdende industrielle produkter mottakelig for angrep av mikroorganismer. De aktive virkestoffblandinger ifølge oppfinnelsen kan anvendes for eksempel for å beskytte de følgende industrielle produkter: stivelsesløsninger, dispersjoner eller vellinger eller andre stivelsebaserte
produkter slik som for eksempel tykningsmidler anvendt ved trykking vellinger av andre råmaterialer slik som fargestoffer (for eksempel jernoksidpigmenter, karbon-svart pigmenter, titandioksidpigmenter) eller
vellinger av fyllmasse slik som kaolin eller kalsiumkarbonat
konkrete additiver, for eksempel de basert på molasser eller ligninsulfonater lim og adhesiver basert på kjente råmaterialer av animalsk, vegetabilsk
eller syntetisk opprinnelse
asfaltemulsjoner
detergenter og rensemidler for industriell anvendelse og
hjemmebruk
mineraloljer eller mineraloljeprodukter (slik som for eksempel dieselbrennstoff) hjelpestoffer for lær, tekstiler eller fotokjemisk industri forløpere eller intermediater for kjemisk industri, for eksempel ved produksjon

Blandingsforholdet av o-fenylfenol (OPP) i forhold til andre bakteriedrepende aktive komponenter kan variere innenfor et bredt område, der optimum avhenger av for eksempel den bakteriedrepende blandingspartner som anvendes, men også av den aktuelle applikasjon.
Med konserveringsmidler med bred antimikrobiell virkning anvendt for å beskytte funksjonelle væsker og vanninneholdende industrielle produkter, bør vektforholdet mellom o-fenylfenol (OPP) og blandingspartner være fra 99,9:0,1 til 50:50, fortrinnsvis 99:1 til 70:30, og særlig foretrukket fra 80:20 til 60:40.
Virkestoffkombinasjonen ifølge oppfinnelsen er svært aktive mot mikroorganismer. Virkestoffkombinasjonen ifølge oppfinnelsen er nyttig som materialbeskyttelse ved beskyttelse av industrielle materialer, i særdeleshet ved beskyttelse av vandige funksjonelle væsker; de virker mot bakterier og mugg, og også mot gjær og slamorganismer. De følgende mikroorganismer kan nevnes som eksempel, uten å være begrensende: Alternaria, som Alternaria tenuis, Aspergillus, som Aspergillus niger, Chaetomium, som Chaetomium globosum, Fusarium, som Fusarium solani, Lentinus, som Lentinus tigrinus, Penicillium, som Penicillum glaucum; Alcaligenes, som Alcaligenes faecalis, Bacillus, som Bacillus subtilis, Escherichia, som Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas, som Pseudomonas aueruginosa eller Pseudomonas fluorescens, Staphylococcus, som Staphylococcus aureus;
Candida, som Candida albicans, Geotrichum, som Geotrichum candidum;
Avhengig av deres respektive fysikalske og/eller kjemiske egenskaper kan virkestoffkombinasjonene ifølge oppfinnelsen tilsettes enten separat, i form av de individuelle aktive forbindelser, der det er mulig avhengig av foreliggende konserveringsproblem, og justere konsentrasjonsforholdet individuelt, eller de kan omgjøres til vanlige formuleringer slik som løsninger, emulsjoner, suspensjoner, pulvere, skum, pasta, granulat, aerosoler eller mikroinnkapslinger i polymere substanser.
Disse formuleringer tilberedes på en måte kjent per se for eksempel ved å blande de aktive komponenter med ekstendere, dvs. flytende løsningsmidler, flytende gass under trykk og/eller faste bærere og der det er hensiktsmessig ved anvendelse av surfaktanter, dvs. emulgatorer og/eller dispergeringsmidler og/eller skumdannende midler. Dersom ekstenderen anvendes i vann, er det mulig å anvende for eksempel organiske løsningsmidler som hjelpeløsningsmidler. Viktige, egnede, flytende løsningsmidler inkluderer: aromatiske forbindelser slik som xylen, toluen, alkylnaftalener, klorerte aromatiske forbindelser eller klorerte alifatiske hydrokarboner, slik som klorbenzener, kloretylener eller metylenklorid, alifatiske hydrokarboner, slik som sykloheksan eller parafiner for eksempel mineraloljefraksjoner, alkoholer, slik som butanol eller glykol eller etere eller estere av disse, ketoner slik som aceton, metyletylketon, metylisobutylketon eller sykloheksanol, sterke polare løsningsmidler slik som dimetylformamid eller dimetylsulfoksid, og også vann; flytende gassholdige ekstendere og bærere skal forstås under betydningen flytende materiale (liquids) som er gass ved romtemperatur og under atmosfærisk trykk, for eksempel aerosoldrivstoff, slik som halogenerte hydrokarboner og også butan, propan, nitrogen og karbondioksid; egnede faste bærere er for eksempel naturlige jordmineraler slik som kaoliner, leire, talum, kritt, quartz, attapulgitt, montmorillonitt eller kiselgur, og syntetiske jordmineraler slik som fint oppdelt silika, aluminiumoksid og silikater; egnede faste bærere for granulat er: for eksempel knust og fraksjonert naturlig stein, slik som kalsitt, marmor, pimpstein sepiolitt og dolomitt, og også syntetisk granulat av uorganiske eller organiske mel og granulat av organisk materiale slik som sagflis, kokosnøttskall, maiskolber og tobakkstengler; egnede emulgatorer og/eller skumdannende midler er: for eksempel ikke-ioniske og anioniske emulgatorer slik som polyoksyetylen fettsyreestere, polyoksyetylen fettalkoholestere, for eksempel alkylaryl polyglykoletere, alkylsulfonater, alkysulfater, arylsulfonater og også proteinhydrolysater; egnede dispergeringsmidler er: for eksempel lignosulfid avlut og metylcellulose.
Klebriggjøringsmidler slik som karboksymetylcellulose og naturlige og syntetiske polymerer i form av pulvere, granulat eller latexformede polymerer, slik som gummiarabikum, polyvinylalkohol og polyvinylacetat, og også naturlige fosfolipider slik som cefaliner og lecitiner og syntetiske fosfolipider kan anvendes i formuleringene. Andre mulige additiver er mineraloljer og vegetabilske oljer.
De mikrobicidale sammensetninger eller konsentrater anvendt for beskyttelse av de industrielle materialer omfatter virkestoffkombinasjonen i en konsentrasjon på fra 0,1 til 95 vekt%, og i særdeleshet fra 5 til 50 vekt%.
Brukskonsentrasjoner av virkestoffkombinasjonene som skal anvendes ifølge foreliggende oppfinnelse avhenger av egenskapen og forekomst av mikroorganismer som skal kontrolleres og av sammensetningen av materialet som skal beskyttes. Den optimale mengde for anvendelse kan bestemmes ved en serie tester. Vanligvis er brukskonsentrasjonene i området fra 0,01 til 5 vekt%, fortrinnsvis fra 0,05 til 2,0 vekt%, basert på materialet som skal beskyttes.
Virkestoffkombinasjonene ifølge oppfinnelsen viser synergistiske effekter, dvs. aktiviteten av blandingen er større enn aktiviteten av de individuelle komponenter.
Den observerte synergisme av virkestoffblandingen, ifølge foreliggende oppfinnelse som består av o-fenylfenol (OPP) og bakteriedrepende middel kan bestemmes ved den følgende matematiske likning (se F.C. Kull, P.C. Elisman, H.D. Sylwestrowicz og P.K. Mayer, Appl. Microbiol. 9, 538 (1961)):

Mikrobicidal sammensetning, karakterisert ved at den består av o-fenylfenol og 2-metyl-2H-isotiazol-3-on og eventuelle ekstendere og eventuelle surfaktanter.

Anvendelse av en sammensetning ifølge krav 1 for beskyttelse av industrielle materialer mot angrep av sopp og alger.

Fremgangsmåte for å beskytte industrielle materialer mot angrep av sopp og alger, karakterisert ved at de industrielle materialer er tilsatt eller behandlet med en sammensetning ifølge krav 1.
