Description
Foreliggende oppfinnelse vedrører en innretning for forsegling av finnen på en gavl-beholder, som angitt i innledningen til patentkrav 1.
Gavltopp-kartonger har vært kjent over mesteparten av det 20. århundre. Deres karakteristiske enkle utførelse og gjentatte lukkemuligheter har bidratt til deres popu-laritet som kartonger for tradisjonelle flytende næringsmiddelprodukter såsom melk og juice, men i de senere år er de også benyttet for produkter som spenner i fra ammunisjon og til epsomsalt. Gavltopp-kartonger tar vanligvis utgangspunkt i et i hovedsaken rektangulært kartongemne forsynt med brettelinjer for å lette brettinger og formingen av emnet til en kartong.
I løpet av mange ti-års utvikling har fremstillere av pakkemaskiner utviklet en rekke metoder for forming, fylling og forsegling av gavltopp-kartonger. Idag er de fleste anvendte pakkemaskiner for fylling og forsegling av gavltopp-kartonger utført for mottak av kartongemnet etter at det er sideforseglet. Sideforseglingen innbefatter en forsegling av motliggende vertikale kanter på kartongemnet for dannelse av en polygonal (vanligvis rektangulær) hylse. Denne hylse settes på et trinnvist bevegbart dorhjul som roterer hylsen til respektive stillinger hvor den hylseende som strekker seg ut fra doren brettes og forsegles for dannelse av bunnen i kartongen.
Etter at kartongbunnen er dannet tas kartongen fira doren og bringes til en fyllestasjon hvor kartongen fylles med et produkt. Etter at kartongen er fylt brettes toppen av kartongen til den kjente gavltopp-form og varmforsegles, hvorved pakkeprosessen er fullført.
Et eksempel på en kjent pakkemaskin som arbeider i hovedsaken i samsvar med disse prinsipper er beskrevet i US-PS 3.789.746. Andre eksempler på slike pakkemaskiner er beskrevet i US-PS 3.820.303, 4.759.171 og 4.790.123. Innholdet i disse patenter anses å være innbefattet i foreliggende søknad.
Det er kjent forskjellige mekanismer for forsegling av finnen ved gavlenden til gavltopp-kartonger. En slik mekanisme er beskrevet i US-PS 3.200.557.1 samsvar med det som der sies blir de øvre brettefelt som danner gavlstrukturen, herunder også finnen, først varmet for å mykgjøre polyetylenbelegget på kartongene. Kartongen bringes så til en stilling mellom to forseglingsbakker. Forseglingsbakkene beveges mot hverandre og utøver et trykk for tilforming og forsegling av finnen.
Finner som er forseglet i samsvar med det som sies i US-PS 3.200.557 har en tendens til separering i området under den prinsippielt horisontale forsegling. 1 tillegg kan varm-forseglingen av finnen på gavl-containeren være tidskrevende og begrense pakke-maskinens kapasitet. Det foreligger derfor et behov for en forbedret forseglingsinnretning.
Ifølge oppfinnelsen foreslås det derfor en innretning som angitt i patentkrav 1. Ytterligere trekk ved oppfinnelsen er angitt i de uselvstendige patentkrav.
Forseglingsinnretningen bidrar til å overvinne de foran nevnte problemer. Forseglingsinnretningen innbefatter en første forseglingsbakke for forsegling av en finne på en gavl-container. En andre forseglingsbakke er anordnet overfor den første forseglingsbakke. Både den første og andre forseglingsbakke innbefatter en i hovedsaken flat sidedel. Den andre forseglingsbakke har dessuten en forselingsstang som strekker seg i fra et midtområde av dens i hovedsaken flate sidedel og langs i det minste en del av bakken for forsegling av finnen på gavl-containeren under utnyttelse av eksempelvis ultralyd-energi. Fra hver av de i hovedsaken flate sidedeler går det en rygg på et sted egnet for dannelse av en finnebasisfure ved finnens basis, eksempelvis over den eksisterende svekningslinje ved finnens basis. Finnebasisfuren bidrar til å hindre separasjon ved basisen til finnen under den prinsippielle horisontale forsegling som tilveiebringes av forseglingsstangen. Forseglingsstangen kan strekke seg fra den andre bakkes i hovedsaken flate sidedel en strekning utover ryggenes utstrekning fra de respektive sidedeler. Ryggene vil således utøve et mindre trykk på finnen enn forseglingsstangen gjør.
I samsvar med en ytterligere utførelsesform av forseglingsbakkene kan forseglingsstangen være erstattet av et antall i hovedsaken sirkulære forseglingsfremspring. Ved å bruke et antall i hovedsaken sirkulære forseglingsfremspring vil det være mulig å oppnå en bedre regulering av den mengde ultralyd-energi som overføres til finnen, slik at det blir mulig å gjennomføre varmeforseglingen på en mer tidsbesparende og energieffektiv måte.
I samsvar med nok et utførelseseksempel av forseglingsbakkene kan den strekning som ryggene og de sirkulære fremspring rager ut fra de i hovedsaken flate sidedeler være redusert nær finnens åpningsende. Dette vil lette en åpning av gavl-containeren samtidig som man er sikret skikkelig finneforsegling.
Fordeler med oppfinnelsen vil gå frem av den nedenfor gitte beskrivelse under henvisning til tegningene, hvor:

fig. 5 viser et sideriss av nok en utførelsesform av den første og andre bakke,
fig. 6 og 7 viser en finne som er forseglet ved bruk av de viste forseglingsbakker,
fig. 8 viser et grunnriss av den andre bakke med forseglingsfremspring,
fig. 9 viser et grunnriss av den første bakke med ryggen, og
fig. 10 viser et perspektivriss av en alternativ utførelsesform av den første og andre bakke.
Fig. 1 og 2 viser en første bakke 20 henholdsvis en andre bakke 25. Den første og andre bakke 20,25 kan benyttes i en ultralyd-forseglingsmekanisme eksempelvis som vist og beskrevet i US SN 08/315,412 "Ultrasonic Carton Sealer", innlevert samme dag som foreliggende søknad og hvis innhold anses trukket inn her. Som vist har den første bakke en i hovedsaken flat sidedel 30. En rygg 35 strekker seg ut fra den i hovedsaken flate sidedel 30 i det nedre område.
Den andre bakke 25 har likeledes en i hovedsaken flat sidedel 40. En rygg 35 strekker seg ut fra den i hovedsaken flate sidedel 40 ved dens nedre område. Et antall i hovedsaken sirkulære forseglingsfremspring 45 strekker seg ut fra den i hovedsaken flate sidedel 40 i et område over ryggen 35. Fremspringene 45 strekker seg lengre ut fra sidedelen 40 enn den strekning ryggene 35 strekker seg ut fra sine respektive sidedeler 30 og 40. Fig. 3 og 4 viser de relative stillinger til den første bakke 20 og den andre bakke 25 i en åpen tilstand, med en finne 50 tilhørende en gavl-beholder anordnet mellom dem. Som vist befinner de i hovedsaken sirkulære forseglingsfremspring 45 seg omtrent i finnens midtområde mens ryggene 35, her vist med et i hovedsaken krummet tverrsnitt, har et toppunkt som befinner seg ved finnens 50 basis. De motstilte bakker 20,25 kan beveges mot hverandre som vist med pilene 55 og fra hverandre som vist med pilene 60. Fig. 4 viser bakkene 20 og 25 i en lukket tilstand. I denne lukkede tilstand kan bakken 25, når den eksempelvis representerer et ultralyd-horn, sende ultralyd-energi til finnen 50 over en bestemt tidsperiode, hvorved polyolefin-sperrelagene på de motstilte finne-kontaktflater 65 og 70 myknes slik at overflatene kan sammenføyes i det område som dekkes av de i hovedsaken sirkulære fremspring 45. Bruk av et antall i hovedsaken sirkulære forseglingsfremspring i motsetning til en enkeltrygg vil gi en bedre styring av den ultralyd-energi som benyttes for forsegling av finnen 50. Slik styring vil dessuten redusere den tid som går med for kjøling av finnen 50 etter den forutbestemte tidsperiode hvor ultralyd-energien virker.
Samtidig som det tilveiebringes en forsegling ved hjelp av de sirkulære fremspring 45 vil ryggene 35 gå mot finnens basis for der å danne en utpreget finnebase-fure som eksempelvis strekker seg langs og over de eksisterende brettelinjer ved finnens basis. Som følge av forskjellen i utraging mellom ryggene 35 og forseglingsfremspringene 45 vil det trykk som ryggene 35 utøver for dannelse av finnebasisfuren være mindre enn det trykk som utøves av de sirkulære fremspring 45. Som sådan vil den mengde utltralyd-energi som overføres til finnen 50 i basisområdet være mindre enn den mengde ultralyd-energi som overføres til finnen i forseglingsområdet. Fig. 5 viser en ytterligere utførelsesform av den første og andre bakke 20 og 25.1 denne utførelsen har ryggene 35 et trapestverrsnitt som eksempelvis vil kunne gi en mer definert fure enn de i fig. 3 og 4 viste rygger 35. Som i det foregående utførelses-eksempel har ryggene en mindre utraging enn forseglingsfremspringene. Fig. 6 og 7 viser gavlenden 80 på en beholder 85 hvor finnen 50 er forseglet ved hjelp av de først viste første og andre forseglingsbakker 20 og 25. Som vist strekker finnen 50 seg fra en åpningsende 90 til en lukket ende 95. Et antall sirkulære forseglingsområder 100 er fordelt langs finnens midtparti for dannelse av primærforseglingen. Finnebasisfuren 105 strekker seg langs finnens 50 basis.
En jevn forsegling over finnens lengde vil av og til ikke være ønskelig, eksempelvis når gavltoppen har en åpningsende og en lukket ende. Det vil da isteden kunne være ønskelig å ha en forsegling som er lettere å åpne ved åpningsenden 90 enn ved den lukkede ende 95. Fig. 8 og 9 viser modifikasjoner av de sirkulære fremspring 45 og av ryggene 35 for å oppnå dette. Som vist har de i hovedsaken sirkulære fremspring mindre høyde i området 110, og ryggene 35 har likeledes en mindre høyde i tilsvarende områder 115. Områdene 110 og 115 er anordnet nær finnens åpningende 90 når de første og andre bakker 20 og 25 er lukket for forsegling av og furedannelse i finnen 50. Det tilføres derfor mindre ultralyd-energi tilområdene 110 og 150 slik at det der tilveiebringes en forsegling ved åpningsenden 90 som er lettere å bryte enn forseglingen ved den lukkede ende 95.
En alternativ utførelse av de første og andre bakker 120 og 130 er vist i fig. 10. Begge kjever 120,130 har et i hovedsaken flatt sideparti 125 og 135. En rygg 140 strekker seg ut fra de respektive i hovedsaken flate sider eller partier 125 og 135. Istedenfor et antall sirkulære forseglingsfremspring har her den andre bakke 130 en kontinuerlig stangdel 155 som rager ut i fra sidekanten 135 i et område over ryggen 140. For å oppnå at forseglingen kan åpnes lettere ved en åpningsende 90 enn ved den lukkede ende 95 i gavltoppen er stangen 145 og ryggene gitt redusert høyde i respektive områder 150 og 155.
Claims (5)
1.
Innretning for forsegling av finnen (50) på en gavlbeholder som har et par skråstilte felt som møtes i finnen (50) ved finnens basis, innbefattende motstående forseglingsbakker (20, 25) som kan beveges mot hverandre for kontakt med og forsegling av finnen (50), idet hver forseglingsbakke (20, 25) har et i hovedsaken plant parti (30,40) med minst en rygg (35) ragende ut fra det i hovedsaken plane parti (30, 40) i finnens (50) lengderetning, karakterisert ved at ryggen (35) er anordnet ved en respektiv nedre del av bakkene (20, 25) for samvirke med finnens (50) basis, slik at det dannes en finnefure (105) i overgangen mellom finnen (50) og de nevnte skråfelt, og at et forsegl i ngsorgan (45) rager ut fra midtpartiet til en (25) av bakkene, hvilket forseglingsorgan (45) rager lengre enn ryggen (35) ut fra det i hovedsaken plane parti (40) på bakken (25).

Innretning ifølge krav 1, karakterisert ved at ryggen (35) på de to bakker (20, 25) har avtagende høyde (115) i retning mot en åpningsende (90) på gavlbeholderen.

Innretning ifølge krav 1, karakterisert ved at ryggen (35) på de to bakker (20, 25) er avsmalnende, fortrinnsvis med et i hovedsaken trapes formet tverrsnitt.

Innretning ifølge krav 1,2 eller 3, karakterisert ved at forseglingsorganet (45) innbefatter et antall i hovedsaken sirkulære fremspring (45) som strekker seg ut fra det i hovedsaken plane parti (40) på bakken (25) langs i det minste en del av det i hovedsaken plane parti (40), for forsegling av finnen (50) på en gavltoppbeholder med ultralydenergi.
5.
Innretning ifølge krav 4, karakterisert ved at antallet av i hovedsaken sirkulære fremspring (45) på bakken (25) har redusert høyde (110) i retning mot åpningsenden (90) til gavlbeholderen.
