Abstract
En fremgangsmåte og et system tilveiebringes for å støtte styringen og alongside-fortøyningen av fartøy som setter operatører i stand til lett å fremskaffe de fysiske forholdene mellom to fartøy og tilstandene av fortøyningstau og fendere når operatørene legger de to fartøy side ved side og fortøyer dem alongside for å laste frakt. Den fysiske relasjonen mellom skroget til det første fartøy (1) og skroget til det andre fartøy (2) beregnes som numeriske data basert på informasjon om en referanseposisjon til det første fartøy (1) som er detektert med en første GPS-mottaker, informasjon om en referanseposisjon til det andre fartøy (2) som er detektert med en andre GPS-mottaker, svingeinformasjon om det første fartøy, svingeinformasjon på det andre fartøy, informasjon om avstand mellom de to fartøy som er målt med en avstandsmåleanordning, koordinatdata som omfatter ytre form av skroget og liknende mot referanseposisjonen for hvert fartøy og lufttrykkdata for hver fender. Informasjon om den fysiske relasjonen mellom det første fartøyets skrog (1) og det andre fartøyets skrog (2) basert på de numeriske data og tilstanden til hver fender vises på en første fremvisningsanordning tilveiebrakt til et styrerom på det første fartøy og en andre fremvisningsanordning tilveiebrakt på et styrerom til det andre fartøy ved hjelp av animasjon.
