Abstract
Teknikker for å støtte/håndtere MIMOoverføring (overføring ved flere innganger, flere utganger) presenteres, der brukerutstyr UE klassifiseres i henholdsvis en første gruppe for enkeltvis planoppsetting, og en andre gruppe med brukerutstyr som det kan settes opp en felles plan for. Klassifiseringen kan være basert på antallet sender- og mottakerantenner, trafikkbelastningen i sektoren, datakrav, langtids kanalstatistikk, antallet brukerutstyr UE etc. Informasjon vedrørende kanalkvalitet (CQI) og mottatt fra brukerutstyret tolkes på forskjellig vis, i avhengighet av hvilken gruppe brukerutstyret hører til. Et enkelt brukerutstyr kan velges ved et tidspunkt fra den første gruppe, eller flere brukerutstyr UE kan velges ved et tidspunkt, fra den andre gruppe, for MIMO-overføring. En slik overføring kan sendes til et enkelt brukerutstyr i den første gruppe, eller til flere utstyr (UE) i den andre gruppe, ved rater valgt ut fra informasjonen CQI.
