Abstract

Técnicas para soportar la transmision MIMO. Los equipos de usuarios (UEs) se clasifican en un primer grupo de UEs a ser programados individualmente y en un segundo grupo de UEs que pueden programarse conjuntamente. La clasificacion se puede basar en la cantidad de antenas de transmision y de recepcion, la carga del sector, los requerimientos de datos, las estadísticas a largo plazo del canal, la cantidad de UEs, etc. La informacion sobre el indicador de la calidad del canal (CQI) recibida procedente de los UEs se interpreta de diversas maneras en funcion de los grupos a los cuales los UEs pertenecen. Es posible seleccionar un unico EU por vez de entre un primer grupo, o se pueden seleccionar multiples UEs por vez del segundo grupo para la transmision de MIMO. Es posible enviar una transmision de MIMO a un UE individual en el primer grupo, o a multiples Ues en el segundo grupo, con velocidades seleccionadas sobre la base de la informacion sobre el CQI.
